“Daddy! You’re coming!” Dahlia’s high pitched
pitched voice was heard when she saw Declan walking towards their home.
Declan smiled at his little girl. “Yes, my princess. Fll be coming with you for Family Day.”
“Yes!” Both Dahlia and Damon exclaimed and jumped around. They ran towards Declan who immediately welcomed them with a big hug.

Lauren couldn’t help but feel weird. She wasn’t used to him doing her favors -She was used to his harsh treatment at least the last year they were together. And these days, she was used to seeing him looking formal and always business–like or in a fighting mood. To see him that casual was giving her unexplainable feelings. It brought back memories of when they were younger. When they were okay. When everything seemed perfect.
“Let’s go.” He quickly walked outside, not letting her protest in any way. Dahlia shook away from her hold and ran towards her father, while Damon looked at her.

But wanting Declan was a scary thing. Hoping to have this permanently was heartbreaking. She was scared that she wanted this more than she’d ever ailmat. And she was scared that she was luving a taste of it. That not only her would feel the heartbreak soon, but also their children.

“Watch and I’ll make this a swan.” The twins watched him in anticipation as he suddenly started carving what’s left of the watermelon into a swan.
Lauren also watched in amazement as he did so. He finished, then they all just heard some claps from the nearby picnic tables who apparently has been eavesdropping on them. The people still couldn’t help but wonder and be amazed that Alpha Declan was the Williams‘ twins‘ father, and that he was not at all the savage and heartless man they all heard about.
Declan smiled at them as Lauren also did. The twins clapped their hands.
“We are the best family ever! I will pray constantly that we will always be together, forever and always! I pray that Mommy and Daddy will stay together and our family will be like this forever, amen!” Dahlia exclaimed and put her hands in a prayer position.
Everyone who heard ‘awwed and reacted. Damon nodded in agreement as Declan and her eyes met. A small smile was on his usually stoic and cold face, as if he prayed the same prayer with his daughter.
