Lauren woke up slowly to a pressure she was feeling on her shoulder. She blinked, repeated it when she saw an unfamiliar ceiling above her.
She was made aware of her surroundings when she caught a whiff of anesthetic in the air.
She was at the infirmary
Before Lauren could ask anything, she heard voices from behind the door. She realized people were there.
“We are not sure about that, Alpha. With the puncture we saw in her skin, how deep it is, we are not sure how far the venom has gotten in her system Extraction could only cause low of blood, which in Lauren’s case will be harmful, considering she’s lost a lot already.”
She heard a long silence from behind the door. It made her look at herself.
She was in
hospital gown, on a hospital bed. She tried remembering the prior events before she woke up. Then slowly, Lauren’s eyes widened.
“Damon Dahlia” She breathed and with rapid movement stood up from the bed and ran out of the room.

She knew exactly how much venom had gotten into her system. It was enough to paralyze a wolf. In harsher cases, it was even enough to kill one.
