Chapter 37
Fudgeting on the ring on his finger, Declan busied himself reading the next volume of the book he has been reading about hidden creatures the human world, like the werewolves.
Hut he was restless about the fact that for all the days Alpha Jasper had some updates regarding the other Alphas of the South, and that he needed to meet all of them, it had to be the day that Damon had finally woken up
He couldn’t help the smile on his face. Happy that his boy was finally safe.
It was Harry who informed him through mindlink. He could imagine the huge smile on his father’s face with the loud voice he had while mandlinking him. Yuan, who was with him, also looked relieved when he informed him about Damon,
“Your heir is finally safe. Those vampires will do anything to harm you, but they haven’t succeeded yet.”
Declin nodded, having a feeling that those vampires might have known who the twins and Lauren were.
Keeping them
a secret was something Declan no longer wanted to do. But he admitted it had an advantage to him–to all of them.
The vampires have targeted him ever since they rescued what’s left of Blue Mountains Pack just over a week after Lauren left, the vampires attacked Black Ridges Pack, and when they weren’t able to succeed, they had been targeting Declan mainly for vengeance.
He was able to protect his father when they were almost able to get to Harry when they attacked. Declan realized they wanted revenge after Harry almost killed the vampire that killed Lauren’s parents.
has father in his most savage nature was something Declan would never forget. They have an almost similar wolf. But Harry’s had the deepest blue eyes, that had pure loathing when he saw what that vampire did to his best friend and his wife.
It was the first time Declan saw his father lose control like that
But that vampire must be someone to strong, that he managed to escape Harry at his most feral form. But he didn’t leave without any injury. An injury that they made sure Harry also got when they attacked them a year after they turned Blue Mountains Pack upside down.
Harry amputated the vampire’s leg, and the vampires were trying to do the same thing. It led to Harry’s wolf losing feeling on his left leg, and his human form in a limp. Declan wished he could have done more for his father. So he did what he had to do and found one of their hiding spor
It was in the Northern lands, and he killed every single one of the vampires that stayed in that small vegetation. The rest of the vampire coven heard about it, and since then, Declan became their main target
Declan waited for that specific vampire to come back. The one who played with the blood of Lauren’s parents. The one whom his father hated the
most. He wanted to finish him
Especially that Declan was almost sure that that vampire was their king
the question remained: why does he have a hunch that his father knew the van more than just being the vampire king! If he truly was the vampire king!
Declan couldn’t forget how seemingly deep his father’s hatred for the vampire was. He has seen his father kill their biggest enemies, but the way he looked at that vampire was something else,
“Never EVER trust a vampire. They are soulless creatures Harry once told him when he asked about things he knew about the creatures. That was the time he also started puzzling the pieces togeilier and his question started whether he knew more about the vampires than he told them.
He wanted to ask his father about it some more, but the shift in those usually wise, blue eyes were so drastic that even he felt cold at the mere sight of IL
That’s when Declan knew there was truly user to it. He just needed to know the specifies.
And soon he will. He needs to, so they could move further to win this impending war.
The car stopped upon their arrival. Declan and Yuan could have travelled in their wolf forms if they weren’t bringing some documents with thei
“Alpha Derlan” Jasper immediately greeted as soon as Declan left the vehicle. Yn followed suit and nodded at Fred who was beside Jasper. Both baking formal for the meeting with that Soulier park Alphas.
“Niplu Jajer” Dardan greeted back as they started walking. They were in the middle of the southern Lands–all four Alphas agreed to meet in between to be fair to all their parks Noor of them wanted to leave their humes for the fear of being attacked. They wanted to be able to go back as soon as possible if ever that happened
In agreed with the decision. He could relate in the feeling of not wanting to stay away for too long from his pack. His protective nature for his people prevalling:
How!
has Rocky Mountain Pack been?” Declan asked.

Chapter 37
Jasper, who had arrived earlier than most, immediately felt the shift in the air at the presence of the latter. He couldn’t deny how strong and different Declan’s presence was compared to the rest of them.
“All’s been well. Alpha Declan. Since the attack happened, my people have been more than willing to learn your techniques.” Declan nodded.
“And we have been making sure all possible entrances were guarded. We have traced a little bit of their stench in one of our huts inside the woods.”
Declan stopped and looked at him. “Inside your territory!”
Jasper nodded. Concern was on his bright brown eyes. If he wasn’t just affiliated with Lauren in the way he is, he would have easily taken a liking to the Alpha. He seemed like a good man that loved his people.
“Yes. We traced it just yesterday. He left a pretty distinguishable stench around.”
Declan’s brows furrowed. “Have you found him!”
“Not yet. We’re still making sure he was the only one left in the area”
“Well then you should command for a search immediately. Because it’s either that vampire had just run off when you found his stench in the hut or he’s been staying in that place for long to leave a distinguishable smell like that. They are usually untraceable. He must be observing the entire pack for a plan of attack.”
Jasper froze momentarily at the information. He hadn’t thought about that.
“I would suggest you mindlink your soldiers right now, Alpha Jasper. And we must hurry with this meeting for you to get back to your pack.” Declan added
“Yes. I think we should Worry was already visible in his eyes, and Declan knew his mind was starting to get back to his pack, so he walked faster towards the packhouse where the rest of the southern Alphas had gathered, waiting for him.
“Alphas, may we begin immediately!” Declan said as soon as he was able to get inside the room, where three different pairs of eyes and three distinct wolf presences were filling in the room.
“We may Alpha Wallace, the oldest in the group, said. Declan immediately went with his business, telling them about the vampires and what they have been doing around the entire werewolf lands for the past six years.
He couldn’t wait to get back Black Ridges, to see his son being awake again.
