“He never showed it Lauren replied. She wasn’t new to mindliking, but she couldn’t do it as often as the others. Only the strongest wolves could get past her bamers and communicate with her since it was hard to tap her weaker wolf. But she also could barely communicate with anyone. So she’d often just listen and not talk back.
But her wolf must have clearly heard her when she heard a huff as a reply, shushing her.
She dismissed her wolf and smiled at Harry who was now waiting for Dahlia in the bathroom. The little girl excused herself to pee like a line lady.
“I’m ready!” She exclaimed as soon as she was out of the bathroom, grinning from ear to ear.
Lauren watched as Harry picked her up and kissed her cheek while Dahlia giggled. They looked so happy, she could clearly see it radiating our off Harry especially. She knew he was excited to spend some more time with his grandchildren

“Yes! I’m excited to see what his home looks like! I heard Daddy is the most powerful Alplat te has the biggest wolf and for sure his wolf has the biggest house! I want to see!”
Damon’s excitement travelled towards Dahlia who started nodding her head vigorously while she was still around Harry’s arms.
“Yes! I want to touch Diddy’s fur! I want to see if his wolf is cute.
Harry chuckled and once again kissed his granddaughter’s rosy cheeks after that adorable curiosity.

“Let’s go!” She asked everyone. They all nodded. Lauren just watched them as

“They will have a good time here, Lauren.” She turned to the side and saw Glory watching her twins and Harry walk side by side in the
e hallway towards the exit. The twins were asking him so many questions and Harry answered all of it with equal glee.

Lauren sighed and nodded. “They’re everything to me.”
“I know,” Glory approached her and touched her arm. “How are you?”
“I haven’t had headaches when I woke up- Lauren stopped when Glory shook her head.

Lauren once again heaved a deep sigh and adjusted the bags she was holding Glory lead her outside as they closed the door, finally sealing her fate of having to go back to the place she once called home.
“We talked. We’re the same.”

Glory saw right through her mask and once again touched her shoulder.
“You both just saw each other again after years, bearing both guilt and hurt in your chests. Give it time, and you will find a way to create a solution.”
Glory’s words and demeanor felt so motherly that she couldn’t help but smile at the woman. With the slight silver–y streaks from the healer’s blonde hair, Lauren could guess they could have been the same age with her mother had the latter not passed away.
“I can’t wait for it to happen.” She sighed.
“You’ll learn much more about patience in marriage. Come on.” Lauren let Glory continue leading her out of the infirmary towards the pack
It wasn’t Lauren’s first time getting out, but now that she knew she wasn’t going back to the infirmary, she felt like she was truly just now seeing the entirely of the new Black Ridges Pack; how improved and larger it felt like.
“This place is so huuuge! I can run around all day here!” She h heard Damon say in front of them as they continued towards the farther side of the pack
And Lauren could agree with her son. The entire pack grounds, without all the soldiers lined up for training, looked so wide she could practically see the forest that started the borders of the pack. She wasn’t even sure now if that was still the pack borders, now that so many things have changed
They continued walking towards and observing the place. It was two hours after lunch, and there weren’t so many people outside. The sun was casted gold in their skin and they enjoyed the heat of it, which was something the northe lands appreciated more than anyone with their usually cold winds
But as they continued doing so, Lauren noticed a slight change in the atmosphere.
She looked at the officers that were standing by and the pack people around. A group of teenagers also sat under a huge tree by the clearing. All of them looking at their group
“What’s happening?” But Lauren’s question was immediately answered when all of a sudden, she picked up some words from the people who were watching thrin
“It’s the Alpha Declan’s family. Our future royal family. And that’s our Luna.”
Lauren could barely react when she realized that for once, people were not looking down on her unlike the last time she went out.
