Lauren was stunned at the sudden question. She blinked up at him and swallowed.
“W–well. I- Declan’s chuckle stopped her from speaking more.
“I’m just kidding. I don’t think it would be wise for me to fish out some opinions now that we are still going through some tests before we let the people choose their king. It would affect my performance.”

Declan looked around and watched his packmates. “I’m not sure. What I am sure of is I do want to continue being this pack’s leader. I know I want to continue with my plans for our entire community to be safe. I just want everyone to be okay.”
Lauren watched him, seeing how sincere he was. She didn’t need to hear all of her wolf’s purring to convince her how good Declan’s intention was. “That’s what a good king would do.” she said.
Declan turned to her and saw the small smile on her face. “If you continue having that mindset, I know the people would see that and choose you as the king. Once you become king, I’m pretty sure you’d do the same stuff you are doing now, the difference would only be your title. So she shrugged.

She started walking towards the packhouse where she knew the twins were already waiting for her. Right now, Declan decided to get a private tutor for them that Damon had just recently recuperated and Dahlia and him were started, they didn’t want to enroll the children in the middle of the semester.
