Chapter 79
Brown eyes stared right back at Lauren as she faced herself in the mirror. She had just finished taking a shower and she couldn’t help wishing she f get ‘cleaner‘ after having that dream earlier.
Or was it a vivion!
Lauren closed
her eyes a
and wiped a hand on her face. Since s
she woke up from that nap, she couldn’t get the images out of her head.
A dark place with lit fire on the corners. Many people were sitting between large wooden tables. And there were two men
She couldn’t hear what they were all saying. She couldn’t even see all of them clearly.
But she was almost sure they were not their own. That they were planning something, sinister.
“It was just a dream. Snap out of it. She slapped her check softly as she reminded herself. She was afraid that the Stranger may have done his work on her again as she couldn’t get past the image of the two men in front of the hall.
One was very dark–his presence, at least. She could tell he was pale, but he had dark hair and he was wearing an all black outfit. But what bothered her most was his eyes.
They were so bloody red, and yet they were brighter than any of the vampire’s eyes she lus ever seen.
And his presence goosebumps rose on her skin at the mere reminder of it. His presence filled the entire place as if drowning everyone in his darkness.
She was actually there, but she could tell everyone was holding their breath.
She didn’t know who the man was, nor what he was saying to them but she could tell and feel that everyone e was afraid of him.
But the tall man beside him–he looked familiar.
No. I know him Lauren admitted to herself.
She was afraid of the mere image of him in her dream. She didn’t like how she was seeing him there. She was reminded of what he told her the last time they saw each other.
He said it was great seeing her in person–along the lines of it.
It basically insinuated he has seen her in some sort of other forms, and it was his first time seeing her physically with his own eyes.
And she didn’t like that. Not one bit.
Lauren: went out of the bathroom and started dressing herself inside their room.
They had come back from the Blue Mountains Pack a few hours ago. They came back in the morning since it was dangerous to travel back at night, She was just glad that Sarah, Glory’s daughter, was more than willing to babysit the two while they went out for a while.
Lauren’s head was filled with the memories of their past. She thought about the nightmares she’s had about their old home.
But she knew in herself that she was no longer filled with dread the moment they left Blue Mountains again. In fact, she was filled with courage and determination to fight off whoever was messing with him.
She was more than willing to seek revenge for her parents who did nothing but lead their pack in love and raised her properly. She didn’t know what her parents did to deserve such cruel death.
And she would never wish for that kind of end to anybody else. Those vampires were just cruel. They were evil.
After blow drying her hair, Lauren decided to finally get out of the room and went down to the second floor.
She heard noises of people talking in the living room of the packhouse, but as usual, she ignored it and went on her way.
But as soon as the stepped on the first floor, everyone looked at her.
“Lauren, my dear

The man smiled at her as she sighed, relieved by his presence.
“Harry, good morning,” she greeted.
A servant was serving the former Alpha some coffee. She caught her glancing at her. She was about to smile at the woman when she suddenly

She followed her moving away, wondering what was happening.
“People have been noticing your presence in the packhouse more and more everyday. They wonder what you are to the Alpha”
Lauren’s attention snapped back to Harry when his deep voice echoed around the empty place.
Lauren sighed and took a seat in front of him.
“You want?” He offered bread and his coffee to her.
Lauren took the bread and picked on it. She gestured towards the coffee. “You don’t mind!“
Harry shook his head, knowing well she liked dipping her hot bread on coffee. She’s always had the hobby of doing that since she was a child. A character she got from her father, Louis,
Thanks, I’ll make you another. Lauren smiled back.
She started dipping her bread on the coffee and started enjoying her breakfast. The room fell silent for a while as thoughts continued swarming in her head
Have you talked about it! I think there is no use now keeping you a secret since Declan’s enemies seem to target you already.”
Lauren scoffed, also finding amusement in his statement. Her father in law chuckled.
“Yeah, he said he’d proclaim me to everyone. I just don’t know when since I also don’t think we really have time for formalities like that after everything that happened. We need to allot our time in planning for attacks and possible invasions again,” she said, sipping on the coffee.
After having a conversation with Declan during their drive home, she realized she was a bit selfish to think badly of him just because she didn’t feel recognized

And here she was, victimizing herself just because her mate wasn’t actively telling everyone she was mated to him. When she was the one who pushed him away when he sought her out and brought her back to their home.
Lauren sighed
“We can skip that. There are many other ways for Declan to let everyone know you are Luna. I want that to happen as soon as possible.” Harry took the cup and took the coffee pot.
“Let me.” Lauren stood up and made his coffer for him.
She brought it in front of him as she also went back to her seat and ate her bread. The morning felt a little peaceful with the children being with Sarah and Glory. She felt a little relaxed, knowing she could trust them with her twis
“You’re excited to be branded as my Dad again, aren’t
‘t you?” She joked. Despite his commanding and icy reputation when he was still Alpha, Lauren has always found Harry warm and amusing to be with.
The latter’s lips parted with a smile. “Yes, and that I want to maximize your protection. I do not like how I feel like you are being targeted, Lauren” Lauren sighed, losing a bit of her amused mood earlier.
Harry touched her hand, “I just want you to be safe. Dalilia and Damon will be needing their mother.
“I know. I won’t let them get the

Harry leaned back on his chair and held his coffee cup.
You are your father’s daughter. You are strong just like him.” He sipped on his coffee. “Hinin, and definitely your mother’s daughter as well. You both make the best coffee.” Lauren chuckler.
Thank you, Harry. You’ve always been good to me. She to

“You are Louis’s daughter, my best friend. I am your father, and I will protect you as much as he did”
Harry raised his cup and clink it to hers. Lauren followed suit and they both sipped on their coffees in a comfortable silence once again.
