My mother and brother were emotionally blackmailing me. Even Shaun used our relationship to manipulate me. The feelings I had for them had turned into a knife that stabbed me in the back.
I looked at Shaun, feeling nothing but disgust.
He continued trying to persuade me, but I got into the car instead.
Elijah noticed my condition and, concerned, invited me to stay at his house for the night. He and his wife, Iris, treated me with kindness. Their son, a renowned director, and their daughter–in–law, a top actress, were both fans of my work. They had bought the rights to my novel to adapt it into a movie and were even asking me to write the script.
The day my family was released from lockup, I was preparing to go fishing with Elijah when Florence and Tyler arrived at his house and blocked my path at the door.
My mother, always so proud, was nearly at her breaking point after being detained. The moment she saw me, she lunged forward, ready to hit me.
This time, I pushed her to the ground.
It was the first time I had ever fought back. Shocked, she stared at me, her eyes filling with humiliation and rage.
Tyler immediately grew anxious. “How could you push our mother like that?”
I shot back sarcastically, “Why shouldn’t I push her when she’s always beating and yelling at me?”
His expression turned cold. “There’s no point in arguing with you. Because of what you pulled at the book signing, Jenna’s been cyberbullied. She was locked up for twenty days, and her health has deteriorated because of it. Come home now, apologize to her, and we’ll need to get a blood transfusion from you.”
As he spoke, he tried to drag me away.
I yanked my hand free and laughed bitterly. “A blood transfusion? Jenna doesn’t have aplastic anemia. She’s been lying to all of you. Every time she claims she feels terrible and needs a transfusion, she’s just doing it to torment me. Are you still in the dark because you believe Jenna and Mom?”
After I died in my previous life, my soul followed Jenna for a while, and I uncovered many of her secrets.
Tyler replied without hesitation, “Stop being ridiculous!”
Florence scrambled to her feet, her voice shrill, “You’ve already had us locked up, and now you’re trying to turn us against each other? How could I have given birth to someone like you?”
I pulled out my phone and opened the files containing Jenna’s medical reports from recent years. There was also a video of a doctor admitting that Jenna’s illness had been fabricated, followed by a statement about the doctor being fired. I forwarded everything to Tyler.
“You know Mom married above her status in her second marriage. She was afraid Jenna would be ignored or mistreated, so she lied about Jenna being sick to get more attention from you and Dad.”
Tyler frowned as he scanned through the evidence. Shocked at first, then furious.
Florence panicked. “T–these are all lies she’s made up!”
I didn’t argue. Holding back my emotions, I added, “And you–what you cared about was your abusive ex- husband who died early. You don’t love Dad. You married him for his money.

Chapter 0004
“His family pressured you into having a child, and you couldn’t refuse. However, you’ve always looked down on him for being a rich bumpkin with only a high school diploma. That’s why you claimed you couldn’t have any more children after me, using your health as an excuse.
“You don’t love Dad, and you resent me. Jenna is the only person you care about.
“My real sister was choked to death by your ex–husband when she was born. Jenna is actually his daughter with the love of his life, and she’s known this all along. She’s even kept in touch with her biological mother.”
Jenna had always hated Florence for taking her real mother’s place and vented that anger on me.
I clicked on the file showing their paternity test results and a photo of Jenna having lunch with her biological mother. I showed them to Florence.
With just one look, Florence broke down. “That’s not true!”
I laughed bitterly. “Why don’t you get a paternity test and find out?”
Mumbling to herself that it couldn’t be true, Florence ran off in denial.
Tyler stood frozen, staring at Jenna’s medical report. He looked at me with a troubled expression, then left as well.
Elijah looked at me with concern.
“Don’t worry. I’m used to all of this.”
Despite everything, I was still excited about going fishing with Elijah.
He sighed. “You’re so yoùng, and you’ve already gone through so much. How can you stay so calm in the face of all this?”
I lowered my eyes. “It’s all in the past.”
There wasn’t much more I could do. If I hadn’t stayed strong, I would have taken my own life long ago.
I had been upset when Tyler and Florence came to cause trouble right after they were released from lockup, but I wasn’t about to let them off easily.
I paid to make sure the news of my family’s attempt to frame me at the book signing trended online. I also made sure everyone knew they had just been released.
The public’s outrage grew, and netizens fiercely criticized Florence, Tyler, and Jenna.
The publisher was furious with Tyler for slandering their author, and they fired him. My fans boycotted him, and other major publishers refused to hire him as an editor–in–chief.
Florence worked at a government–linked company. After being reported by netizens, she was fired as well.
What I didn’t expect was for Jenna to meet the same fate I had in my previous life. An extremist fan stabbed her, and she was hospitalized, barely surviving the attack.
When I heard the news, I bought champagne to celebrate.
Later that night, Tyler, who had finally uncovered the truth, came to see me despite the threat of being mobbed by angry netizens.
He tried calling, but I blocked him out of annoyance.
Undeterred, Tyler resorted to using a loudspeaker outside my home.
