Brynn didn’t ask Dominic how he planned to handle things. Everyone had their secrets.
Besides, Dominic wasn’t the type to make empty promises. If he said he’d handle it, then he would.
“If something like this happens again, call me first. I’m your husband. It’s my responsibility to help you,” Dominic said gently.
The staff member who had just walked in to report something froze in shock.
What… he still has such a gentle side?
Noticing the intruder, Dominic had no choice but to end the call.
“I know, I know. You’re busy. Don’t worry about me. I’m fine,” Brynn reassured him before hanging up.
The anxiety in her heart settled after that call.
On the other hand, Chase was fuming. Brynn had been so warm and soft while talking to her so–called husband, and he could hardly stand it.

“Hah, men are all talk,” Chase sneered as soon as she put her phone away. “Brynn, you don’t actually believe your little government employee of a husband has the power to help you, do you?”
He scoffed as Brynn hung up the phone.
