The golden–haired boy next to Josh lowered his voice and muttered, Josh, don’t embarrass yourself?
“You’re already one of the lowest performers in the school. It’s bad enough you’re embarrassing yourself, but don’t drag the whole school down with you!”
“Yeah, we’re already looked down on by those modern medicine students. If we lose this competition, i’ll be even harder to hold our heads up,” another student chimed in.
The others nodded in agreement.
Josh felt a pang of embarrassment as he listened to their mocking words, but he couldn’t find a way to argue back
He was ashamed of his poor academic standing once again…
If only he were a top student, then things would be different.
“Fine. Let’s compete.”
At that moment, Brynn smiled and spoke up, agreeing to the challenge.
“Since George Marshall has so much confidence, we in the Panacea Medical School can’t back down.
Josh’s eyes widened in surprise as he turned to look at Brynn.
He walked over to her, tugging at her sleeve, and whispered, “Miss Everett, but… I might lose.”
I’ll be embarrassing the whole college.
“It’s okay, I’ll guide you through it if you need help,” Brynn reassured him, patting his shoulder. “Don’t sell yourself short. I believe in you.”
Her gaze was full of encouragement, and slowly, Josh’s nerves started to settle.
He nodded at Brynn, his expression growing determined. “Yeah! I’ll give it my all.”
George Marshall, watching from the side, couldn’t help but sneer.
Just a rookie, acting like a daredevil!‘
‘Well, this works out for me. I was worried these idiots wouldn’t take the bait…
“Miss Everett, since it’s a competition, there should be something at stake, right?” George Marshall said, grinning. “Otherwise, what’s the point of a contest?”
Brynn remained calm, looking at George Marshall. “What kind of stakes does George Marshall have in mind?”
George Marshall eagerly spoke up, “Simple. If you lose, we’ll have your school’s president hand over the rights to manage the street in front of your college to us.”
Brynn furrowed her brows.
She probably didn’t have the right to agree to this so rashly….
As Brynn hesitated, the sound of Mr. Buckman’s voice came from the door. “Fine, I’ll agree to it.”
Brynn turned to look at Mr. Buckman in surprise. She hadn’t even noticed when he arrived.

Chapter 94
Mr. Buckman had been worried that Brynn, being new to the college, might face resistance from the students, so he had come specifically to back her up.
But he didn’t expect to walk in on the dean from the opposite school gambling with Brynn.
“This old guy really had some nerve. Did he think he could win against Miss Everett?‘
Mr. Buckman felt a smug satisfaction, but he kept it hidden.
He couldn’t let that guy, George Marshall, sense anything was off and what if the competition didn’t happen?
“Dean Buckman, you’re a real sport!” George Marshall said with a look of delight, feeling like he had gotten a great deal.
Brynn, on the other hand, let out a cold laugh and responded, “George Marshall, this bet can’t just be on our side, right? What if your school loses?”
George Marshall scoffed. “There was no way our school could lose!
With a bottom–tier student and a newly–appointed young female teacher?‘
“If we lose, we’ll hand over the management rights of the street in front of our school to you,” George Marshall promised dismissively,
“Good, then it’s settled,” Brynn said, her lips curling into a slight smile.
Mr. Buckman almost burst into laughter.
It was about time that such wealth and prestige came to their Panacea Medical School!
He wasn’t worried at all about losing.
‘With Ms. Everett around, how could us possibly lose?‘
‘George Marshall is in for a big loss.‘
