The classroom was silent, not a sound to be heard, as Brynn walked up to the podium.
“There’s always someone better, and there’s always more to learn. No one knows everything, that’s why we say the sex of knowledge has no limits,” Brynn said, her gaze sweeping over the golden–haired boy and the other slackers, her tone serion
“Traditional medicine isn’t some mystical thing. It’s everywhere in daily life, and you can apply it in so many ways. We study medicine to help and heal, not to compare ourselves to others!”
As she said this, Brynn slammed her hand on the desk, making the golden–haired boy and others flinch instinctively.
Her tone was filled with frustration. “You all think you’re so impressive, too proud to respect anyone else. But what you don’t realize is that your arrogance could very well cause traditional medicine to fade into obscurity forever”
The golden–haired boy and the others wanted to open their mouths to argue, but before they could get a word out, a laugh echoed from the doorway.
“Ha! Well said, young teacher. Traditional medicine is indeed in decline, and it’s because these arrogant little brats are too proud and undisciplined,” a man’s voice chimed in.
Brynn furrowed her brow at the comment.
At first, it seemed harmless, but upon further thought, she could detect the sarcasm underlying his words.
She turned to face the source of the voice–a middle–aged man in a striped shirt stood smiling in the doorway.
“Hello, may I ask who you are?” Brynn asked, puzzled.
The man smiled and introduced himself. “I’m the dean of Asclepius Medical College across the street, George Marshall And you are…?”
“Brynn Everett,” Brynn replied, pausing for a moment. “What brings you to our college, Presiden Marshall?”
“Our two colleges are so close, I often come by to see what’s happening here, learn a little, exchange ideas,” George said. “Had I not come, I wouldn’t have known that there’s such a great teacher here.”
As he spoke, his eyes briefly flicked to the students in the classroom, a hint of mockery flashing in his gaze.
“Miss Everett, you may not know, but although I’m the dean of Asclepius Medical College, I’m quite interested in what’s going on in your school. It’s just… Traditional medicine, while passed down from our ancestors, unfortunately works too slowly. People today are impatient; they can’t wait,” George Marshall said, his tone smooth, but Brynn could tell he wasn’t here with good intentions.
On the surface, he was all smiles, but underneath it all, he was just a snake in the grass.
“You’re a responsible teacher, Miss Everett, but it’s a shame you picked the wrong profession…”
George Marshall glanced at the students, shaking his head. “Traditional medicine is difficult to learn and slow to show results. Don’t be surprised if, in the future, you can’t even make a living off of it, let alone cure people.”
Hearing George Marshall’s thinly veiled mockery of Traditional medicine, the golden–haired boy and the others were visibly upset.
However, the truth was, what he was saying about the state of Traditional medicine today was hard to deny. They didn’t know how to argue against it.
George Marshall saw no one standing up to him, and his smile faded just slightly as a glint of disappointment flashed in his

Just then, Josh Blaze stood up, glaring defiantly at George Marshall. “Who says Traditional medicine doesn’t work?”
“Both Traditional medicine and modern medicine are meant to heal people. Who are you to look down on us?” he challenged.
George Marshall was a bit taken aback, staring at Josh with surprise.
He had assumed these students were all pushovers, but here was someone actually daring to stand up to him.
Seeing his goal was reached, George Marshall sneered coldly. “Kid, I admire your spirit… Since you think Traditional medicine is so great, how about we have a little competition between modern medicine and Traditional medicine?”
