Meanwhile, at the Johnson Manor, Eleanor was bored and scrolling through her phone when she saw a piece of news. [After the Traditional Medicine Competition, she was hailed as the most beautiful traditional medicine teacher.]
Eleanor was bored and wanted to close the news, but she accidentally clicked on it. When she saw that the praised traditional medicine teacher was Brynn, her eyes widened.
“How is that possible! How could Brynn have such ability?” Eleanor didn’t believe that Brynn knew traditional medicine at all. She opened the live recording on the internet with disdain.
She had wanted to find evidence of Brynn’s deceit, but her face changed as she watched. Although Brynn didn’t operate during the competition, the scene of her saving the young patient later couldn’t be faked.
It took years of medical skills to perform such proficient rescue actions. Eleanor was dumbfounded.
She had looked down on Brynn before, partly because she felt that the Everett family’s financial resources w were not as good as the Johnson family’s, and partly because Brynn had joined the Everett Group before she even finished college.
“If I had known that Brynn had the ability, how could I have liked Kylie, that good–for–nothing? Wait, if I told Victoria that Brynn was a superb doctor, would my family be able to return to the Johnson family?
Even if we couldn’t cure Zoe, I could just say that Brynn had exaggerated her medical skills and it wouldn’t implicate my family. It was a no–cost deal, so why not?‘ she thought.
Thinking of this. Eleanor couldn’t wait to call Victoria. However, after several calls, she was told that the other party’s phone was switched off.
“What’s going on? Am I blocked?” Eleanor was stunned.
Just then, a maid came in and announced, “Madam, Kylie is here.”
Hearing Kylie’s name, Eleanor immediately understood. She must have been blocked because the Divine Doctor Kylie mentioned was a fake, which annoyed Victoria.
Thinking of this, Eleanor’s face darkened and she said with displeasure, Tell her Im not here if she comes again. She is never allowed to set foot in my house again.”
“Yes, ma’am.
The maid answered and was about to turn around to leave when Eleanor stopped her. “Wait, where is Chase? Why haven’t I seen him?”
The maid’s face fell. “Well…
Eleanor narrowed her eyes. “What’s the matter? Can’t I, as his mother, know about my own son?”
The maid was so scared that she quickly said, “Mr. Johnson has been going out late at night these days. He stays in his room all day until the afternoon.”
Eleanor frowned and went straight upstairs. Chase’s room was on the second floor. As soon as she opened the door, she smelled a strong odor of alcohol.
Eleanor waved her hand in disdain and stepped into the room. Empty liquor bottles littered the floor, curtains were drawn, and only a small night light was on, making the room very dim. Chase sat slumped on the edge of the bed, completely
drunk.
“Chase, Eleanor walked up to him and gently nudged him.

Chase opened his eyes in a daze. Seeing Eleanor in front of him, he gave a silly grin. Before she could react, he lugged her,
“Brynn, you’re here. I miss you so much. 1 really know I was wrong. Can you come back to me?”
Eleanor speechlessly pushed Chase away and got up to turn on the light, Chase mumbled and reached out in her direction,
“Brynn.”
The overhead light in the room turned on. The bright light canned Chase, who had been in the dim environment for a lon time, to close his eyes uncomfortably.
Eleanor stood in front of Chase, looking down at him condescendingly. “Take a good look. Who am I?” she said coldly
