Brynn didn’t want to argue with Mandy, but when she saw Mandy shoving Zoe, she couldn’t stand it anymore.
“How could you do that to a child, Mandy? Don’t you have any shame?” Brynn stepped forward to help Zoe and stood in front of her, glaring at Mandy.
Mandy crossed her arms and sneered. “Brynn, why are you so protective of this girl? Don’t tell me she’s the child with some random guy.”
Brynn was irritated. “You-

“Don’t you dare insult my mom!” Zoe glared at Mandy. “You’re so mean!”
Hearing Zoe call Brynn “Mom, Mandy immediately became excited, thinking she had caught Brynn red–handed. “What? She’s really your child, isn’t she?”
Mandy took out her phone and started taking pictures of Brynn and Zoe. “I remember you just got married not long ago, right?
“Now

down on your knees and apologize to me, or Ill send these pictures of you and this girl to your husband”
Brynn was speechless, thinking, ‘She’s crazy. How can she just spout such nonsense?”
“Mom, did I cause you trouble?” Zoe looked at Brynn with teary eyes, clinging to her leg.
Brynn shook her head gently. “No, you didn’t do anything wrong, Zoe. This bad lady is talking nonsense.”
After comforting Zoe, she turned to Mandy with a serious expression. “I’m calling the cops if you continue to spread
rumors.
“Go ahead. Do you think I’m scared of you?” Mandy rolled her eyes. “You’re just guilty.”
Brynn sneered and took out her phone. “I recorded everything you just said. If I sue you with this, do you think I can win?”
Mandy’s eyes widened. “You set me up.”
Brynn said, “You asked for it.”
Mandy was pissed. She clenched her fists and glared at Brynn, but she didn’t know how to refute her.
Finally, she turned to the saleswoman in exasperation. “Didn’t you hear me? I told you to kick the three of them out. What are you waiting for?”
The saleswoman flinched and was about to speak, but Brynn got ahead of her. “No matter what, we are customers here. Mandy, aren’t you afraid of ruining the store’s reputation by treating your customers rudely?”
“Customers?” Mandy’s eyes swept from Brynn’s head to her shoes, and finally back to her face.
She continued, “You went from being the marketing director at the Everett Group to a teacher at a medical school no one’s even heard of. Where’d you get the money to afford anything from my store?”
Mandy pointed at the clothes in her shop, her face full of disdain. “Any piece of clothing here probably costs more than your entire monthly paycheck.”
“How dare you look down on teachers?” Brynn sneered. “No matter how low my salary is, I can feed myself. I don’t have to rely on my parents like you do.”

Mandy clenched her fists. She hated it when people said she was relying on her parents because that meant she was a loser
“You do have guts, Brynn, Mandy said sarcastically, pointing at a red dress. “If you’re really something, then buy the most expensive dress in my store.”
Brynn and Victoria both looked at the dress. Then Victoria walked over to it and glanced at the price tag.
The price made her laugh. “You’re seriously charging millions of dollars for this, huh? It’s from some no–name brand with average quality at best. That price tag is a joke.
She had sharp eyes. Just by looking and touching the fabric, she could tell that it was ordinary. The craftsmanship was even rougher. At first glance, it looked alright, but to a connoisseur, the details were full of flaws.
“So what?” Mandy said nonchalantly, “No matter how ridiculous–the prices are, there are still people willing to pay for them.” With that, Mandy looked at Victoria with disdain. “If you don’t know anything, just shut up. Stop talking nonsense. And don’t touch the clothes in my store. Can you even afford them if you damage them?”
Brynn retorted with a sneer, “If the clothes break just by touching them, maybe you should be questioning the quality Instead,
Mandy scoffed, “You know nothing. Truly expensive clothes are all disposable. Brynn, don’t tell me you’re so poor that you can’t even afford a dress.”
