Harvey sat in the police station, watching the surveillance footage provided to him by the officers. In the video, Ralph had placed flammable materials on the top floor of the auditorium and set the place on fire.
That same assistant now sat across from Harvey, his wrists shackled in silver handcuffs.
At this moment, Harvey’s fury reached its peak. His sharp, chiseled features tensed instantly, and his dark eyes gleamed with a crimson reflection. He stood abruptly, grabbing Ralph by the collar and yanking him forward.
Ralph’s chest slammed against the edge of the table with a dull thud. When he met Harvey’s gaze–filled with enough rage to flay him alive–his legs trembled violentlynder the table.
“Mr… Mr. Fisher, let me explain!”
The police rushed forward, trying to pull Harvey away and force him to release his grip.
“Mr. Fisher, calm down first.”
“How the hell am I supposed to calm down?” the man roared. “You burned my wife to death! How can I possibly calm down?”
With one arm restrained by an officer, Harvey shoved the man aside and seized Ralph’s head, slamming his face into the table as if he meant to crush his skull.
“Ugh!” Ralph gasped in pain.
Several officers intervened again, struggling to stop Harvey
“Mr. Fisher, please control yourself!”
“According to Ralph Navarro’s confession, he acted under your son Beau’s orders when he set fire to the Summit Academy auditorium. While the blaze caused no casualties, it severely endangered public safety…
“But what do you mean your wife was burned to death? Does Ralph have other murders tied to him?”
Harvey froze upon hearing the officer’s words. He turned to the man who had spoken and asked, “You’re sure no one was killed in the auditorium fire?”
The officer seemed just as confused but nodded. “The fire department conducted a second search of Summit Academy’s auditorium. No casualties were found.”
The violent fury burning in Harvey’s eyes crumbled in an instant. He released his grip on Ralph’s head, his body- sagging like a drowning man who had just breached the surface, gasping and desperate for air.
Oxygen flooded his system, leaving him lightheaded. A dazed, almost delirious smile flickered across his face. Ralph felt the pressure on his skull ease, but Harvey’s overwhelming presence still loomed over him. He didn’t dare move much, only lifting his head slightly while keeping his face angled down.
A metallic tang spread through his nose as blood had dripped from his nostrils. Unable to breathe properly, he parted his lips slightly.
Harvey dropped back into his chair, leaning heavily against the backrest.
Until the police confirmed there were no casualties, every muscle in his body had been wound tight. Now, the tension dissolved completely as the fortress inside his chest shattered into dust.
Only one thought echoed in his mind. Elara was alive. Thank God!

He had thought he had been so sure that Elara…
Harvey raised his hand and brushed his palm across his forehead, wiping away a thin layer of sweat.
He pushed back the strands of hair that had fallen tragedy still coursing through him.
ver his brow, the lingering relief of having narrowly escaped
Just then, the officer spoke again, “Since your son is only five years old and cannot be held legally responsible, we called you in as his parent to take accountability for his actions.”
Harvey lifted his gaze, his expression cooling back into detached indifference. He sat with an imperious posture, his presence alone once again dominating the atmosphere in the police station.
“Why did Beau order you to set the fire?”
Ralph, who had been forced back into his chair by the officers, had the lower half of his face smeared with blood from his nose.
One of the officers twitched his lips in mild exasperation at Harvey’s question. They had summoned Harvey for questioning, yet now this domineering CEO was taking over their job.
Meanwhile, Ralph kept his hands on his thighs, his clammy palms dampening the fabric of his suit pants.
