Hearing those words, Shane suddenly seemed to awaken from a dream. While continuing to bandage her wound, he asked, “You don’t remember? Back in our country, once at the mall…
“Ah! The mall! You were that…”
Naomi suddenly recalled a memory from years ago.
At that time, the Judd family had not yet suffered from the fire, and I was still the beloved heiress of the family.
One day, while shopping at a mall. I noticed a crowd gathered around, watching something unfold. Curious, I walked

“I’m telling you, the ring that went missing from our store is the most expensive one. A clerk said you were sneaking around that area. Who else should I suspect first?” The shop owner said angrily.
“I wasn’t sneaking around!“
“Enough nonsense, let me search you first!”
Seeing the shop owner reaching out to strip the boy’s jacket, no one in the crowd dared to speak up.
Naomi stepped forward and shouted, “Stop!”
The shop owner was startled by the outburst. He turned to see who it was.
To his surprise, it was just a young girl. Annoyed yet amused, he sneered, “Whose daughter are you? Don’t meddle in adult affairs!”
“You have no right to search him before the police arrive! That would be an invasion of his privacy!”
Naomi remained fearless and spoke with firm conviction.
“He stole from my store. If I don’t strip search him, should I strip search you instead? Looks like y are accomplices!”

Seeing that the shop owner was being unreasonable, Naomi met his gaze fearlessly. “Sir, I understand that you’re anxious to retrieve your lost ring. But your first course of action should be calling the police and checking the security footage, not conducting an arbitrary search! Everyone here is watching. The thief won’t escape. If it turns out he didn’t do it, wouldn’t an unjust search be humiliating for both of you?”
Naomi’s argument was logical, making the shop owner hesitate before releasing the boy’s arm.
Having secretly observed her surroundings earlier, Naomi had already noticed something suspicious. One of the store clerks appeared nervous, constantly hiding their hands out of sight. She decided to act.
“Besides, how do you know the thief isn’t someone from your own store?”
“Someone from my store? The shop owner suddenly snapped out of his panic: “Girl, can you keep an eye on him for me? I’ll go check the security footage!”

Once the fierce shop owner walked away, the boy trembled slightly and bowed to Naomi. “Thank you”
Naomi waved it off indifferently. You’re a boy, aren’t you? How can you just let people bully you like that? You should learn to stand up for yourselll”
When the police arrived, the matter was resolved smoothly. Through questioning, they discovered that the ring had been stolen by one of the store employees.
It turned out that the employee had falsely accused the boy to shift the blame away from himself.
After the ordeal, the boy wanted to know Naomi’s name and promised a great reward, but she simply refused.
After all, good deeds should be done without expecting anything in return.
“For all these years. I’ve never forgotten you. I always wanted to repay you for helping me back then. I never expected fate would bring us together again here in Flaenia.”
Back in the present, Naomi looked at Shane, who had now grown into a full–fledged man, and was astonished. “So that little kid was you! I really didn’t recognize you!”
Then she sighed. “It was just a small favor, yet you remembered it for so long. Meanwhile, I devoted may’s
yself to the Judd family, always helping them at every turn, but they trampled on me for years.
There are differences in people’s hearts, Shane comforted her. “It’s getting late. Get some rest. I live just upstairs. If you need anything, call me anytime,
Naomi smiled and nodded in agreement.
Finally, the day to register for school had arrived.
The first thing the new students did was introduce themselves.
Having lived two lifetimes and being fluent in Flaenian. Naomi was naturally at case. Her confident introduction earned her a round of applause.
Returning to her seat, she began observing her new classmates. The first person who caught her attention was Shirley.
With her head held high, Shirley strutted onto the stage and elegantly wrote her name on the blackboard. with chalk.
She sneered, “Shirley Ross. No need for extra words; you’ll remember me anyway.”
She then walked off the stage amid hushed gasps of admiration.
“Ugh, who does she think she’s impressing?” A mischievous–looking girl beside Naomi whispered to her.
This girl had introduced herself earlier as Margo Jade. She had an innocent, sweet appearance.
Naomi inexplicably felt a sense of affinity towards her.
Seeing that Margo had taken the initiative to chat, Naochi casually engaged in small talk.
“Marro, why don’t we exchange contacts?”

“Sure!” A delighted expression appeared on Margo’s face. “You’re my first friend at school.”

Just then, an arrogant–looking boy walked onto the stag. “My name is Alex Blade, I like sports, and I don’t like people who gossip behind others‘ backs.”
As he said this, his gaze deliberately landed on Naomi’seat.
Naomi sighed inwardly. It seemed this new class was full of personalities. This guy was clearly a troublemaker.
The first morning was free of lessons. Besides introductions, they only had to collect their textbooks.
Naturally, Naomi partnered up with Margo to get their books. Along the way, they casually chatted about Woodcreek Academy’s professors.
“Hey, have you seen our department’s most handsome professor? His last name is Gibson–Shane Gibson,” Margo gossiped excitedly.
Naomi nearly choked on her drink. “Shane Gibson???”
“Yeah! Do you know him?”
“No, no, Naomi quickly shook her head. She never would have guessed that Shane, of all people, was considered the most handsome professor at the academy.
“I heard he’s only a visiting professor here. His family, the Gibson family, is a leader in the Al industry.” Margo’s eyes sparkled. “If we can get close to Professor Shane, our future would be set.”
Naomi’s eyes narrowed slightly in thought.
Last night, I and Shane had only talked about school–related matters, nothing about his background. I hadn’t realized he wasn’t a full–time professor but just an external hire.
I had heard of the Gibson family back in my home country–doubtedly a powerhouse in Al. But I never expected Shane to be their heir
This was a golden opportunity to establish ties with the Gibson family.
Rather than competing with them in the AI industry in the future and fighting a losing battle, wouldn’t it be better to secure a beneficial relationship now?
As she made up her mind, she continued chatting casually with Margo.
It seemed like it was time to arrange a meeting with Shane
