And so, a month passed coldly and indifferently.
That day after work, Jenny accompanied Evelyn to walt fo
for the elevator and received a message, feeling somewhat surprised.
“Evelyn, today the Star Group’s project signed a contract, they mentioned having a dinner.”
Evelyn’s heart sank, “Is that so?”
She took out her phone, and no one notified her.
She watched silently, expressionless, and then chacked before putting it into her bag.
Jenny, seeing the situation, exclaimed in surprise, “Didn’t I call you?”

The elevator opened.

Evelyn was tidying up the documents when she heard a commotion coming from the entrance of the President’s Office.
She walked to the door in confusion and was surprised to see a crowd gathered around Martin and Isabel, arguing about something.
Walking up to Martin, Evelyn asked in a low voice, “What’s wrong?”
Martin turned his head, about to speak, but was interrupted.
The leading woman shouted angrily, “Here comes another one, Mr. Wilson. Tell me, is she the one in charge, or is she?”
While speaking, he pointed at Evelyn and Isabel
Martin suppressed his anger and turned his head towards Evelyn, saying, “It was her, but…”
The conversation was not finished when, in the next second, there was a “crack” sound.
