Chapter 20
“If you won’t divorce me, do you think I’ll help you again this time?”
Aria spoke with clear logic, “If you agree to a clean break, you can announce that we’ve already signed divorce papers and are
about to separate. That way, no matter how wild your private life gets, no one will care.”
She suddenly smiled, “Or would you rather wait until Spencer Corp’s stock crashes before coming to beg me?”
Larry’s eyes reddened at her words.
“Aria, you took photos, didn’t you? After everything we’ve been through as husband and wife, do you really want to destroy me
and Spencer Corp?”
She hadn’t taken any photos. The only picture she had was sent by Dr. Alexander.
“Your sex scandal was just suppressed. Why would you think the paparazzi would stop following you?”
Larry’s expression grew even worse. At that moment, he could barely hear what Aria was saying–his mind was filled only with
the word “divorce.”
Dr. Alexander stood beside Archer with folded arms, turning his head to whisper, “You’re just going to stand and watch? Not
going to do anything?”
Archer replied flatly, “With her capability, it seems she doesn’t need me right now.”
Dr. Alexander: “.
Indeed–fierce enough to slap him right in the face.
But Larry truly deserved it.
Aria’s warning left Larry pale–faced.
Only after Aria and Archer had left did Larry finally come to his senses, standing in place with a gloomy aura.
With Aria gone, his cold expression had no audience. He could only glumly take Lucy to see a doctor with his assistant’s help.
Lucy had never been stupid. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have immediately soaked in cold water to make herself genuinely feverish
when she sensed the distance between herself and Larry.
Larry was arrogant yet sentimental, with one serious flaw: his male chauvinism.
This type of man would pamper and cherish a woman while pursuing her, but once he had her, he expected complete obedience and constant coddling, occasionally displaying vulnerability.
He loved this dynamic.
More importantly, Aria was right about one thing.

DOITUS
If Lucy wanted to become Mrs. Spencer, Larry and Aria needed to divorce first.
Without their divorce, she could never take that position. This was her primary mission.
While receiving IV fluids and suffering from high fever, Lucy hazily calculated her next moves, murmuring dreamily, “Larry…”
Looking so pitiful, Larry easily forgot about what happened at the gala.
As Larry sat by her bedside ready to comfort her, Lucy threw herself into his arms with tearful eyes and a soft body, whimpering quietly like some adorable small animal.
Larry immediately felt sympathy.
He comforted her with gentle words while rubbing her back.
Lucy leaned weakly against his chest, about to play the fragile card when her sharp eyes caught the marks on his neck.
They weren’t hers.
Aria had been telling the truth–he had gone to a hotel with another woman.
A dark glint flashed in Lucy’s eyes, and the next moment she was speaking plaintively in his arms, “Larry, I dreamed that Linda
said she was so cold and sad… Is my sister lonely?
“It’s all my fault. If I had stayed with her that year, she wouldn’t have had that accident.
“It’s all my fault…”
Lucy’s words seemed to suddenly awaken Larry.
It was Aria who had harmed Linda. Because of her cruelty, they had reached this point today. Why should he feel guilty?
Wasn’t this all Aria’s own doing?
