Chapter 45
s with Haven
After Jasper drove away, Natalie had no choice but to take the bus to Art Corps wi
When they arrived at the entrance of Art Corps, they saw that the promotional board displayed recruitment posters. Natalie carefully read through ther from start to finish, discovering that they were only hiring artistic talents.
Those who got in would be assigned to the opera, dance, or drama troupes, and no administrative positions were available. Feeling a bit disappointed, Natalie sighed.
Seeing her expression, Haven assumed it was due to a lack of confidence in her own application. She immediately encouraged her, “Ms. Talia, don’t b discouraged by the strict recruitment criteria. Those are just barriers set for ordinary people.
“With your figure and looks, you can definitely go through special recruitment channels.”

Natalie recalled hearing about special recruitment channels for the second time. The first was from the bespectacled man on there really a special recruitment channel?”
Haven nodded, “Yes, there is! The teachers responsible for special recruitment travel across the country, keeping an eye on various Art Corps, all to scou for good talent. You’re in luck because the teacher in charge of special recruitment for our troupe is currently in Kingston. How about I introduce her t you?”
Just as Natalie was al
about to decline, someone called out Haven’s name.
Turning around and sporting the person, Haven took Natalie’s hand and introduced her to Lucy. “Madam Holt, this is Ms. Talia, and she wants to apply to Art Corps.”
Lucy Holt looked at Natalie with a gaze that looked as if she had discovered a treasure, sizing her up.
The longer she looked, the more captivated she became.
“What a promising candidate for dancing!” she thought.
First, Natalle was around 5 feet 5 inches tall, with long arms, legs, and neck, plus a small head, achieving the perfect proportions.
Then there was her unforgettable face. Lucy had seen thousands of young women during her nationwide talent scouting, and while they were all stunning, none compared to Natalie. She was simply unique.
With her fair skin, she could take the stage without makeup. The lights would illuminate her, malding her shine.
Her appearance alone was a rare find,
However, Lucy wondered about her flexibility. “Young lady, can you bend backward? Let’s see!”
Natalie nodded. She had learned to dance since childhood, initially pushed by her mother to improve her physique. Although she had stopped due to her busy high school schedule, the foundation she had built was still intact.
Stepping to the side, she raised her arms overhead and slowly bent her waist back until her palms touched the ground, arching her body like a bridge. “Not bad!” Lucy’s eyes sparkled with excitement. “Can you do the splits? Show me!”
Natalie straightened her back and asked, “Horizontal or vertical?”
Recognizing her as an experienced dancer, Lucy noted her skirt and said, “Let’s go with the horizontal splits.”
Natalie made a couple of lunges to stretch her legs before slowly lowering herself until her legs were straight apart, her hands on the ground to p sitting directly.

Her back and legs were flexible–she was impressively agile!
When Natalie stood up, Lucy excitedly took her hand and said, “Miss, let me introduce myself. I’m Lucy Holt, the head of recruitment for Art Corps. qualifications are outstanding; you are a natural talent! I sincerely invite you to join our Kingston Air Force Art Corps!”

Natalie smiled at Lucy, feeling a bit helpless. “Thank you, Madam Holt, for your appreciation, but I’m afraid I’ll disappoint you.”
“Huh? What’s wrong?” Lucy furrowed her brow, eager to know more.
Natalie’s bright expression took on a hint of sadness as she rubbed her lower back. “Oh, while I really enjoy dancing, I have an injury. The doctor said I shouldn’t strain my back, especially not for prolonged high–difficulty movements. So, Madam Holt…”
Her initial goal was not to join the dance troupe but to secure an administrative position. However, she couldn’t
that outright.
She needed first to capture Lucy’s attention and showcase her capabilities to cam her respect. Only then could she mention her physical limitations, fostering a sense of reluctance to lose such talent. This way, her later inquiries would have a better chance of success. And Indeed, it was working
