Thinking that giving Mia and Xena identical wedding dresses would be an even greater blow to Mia, Jenna’s anger subsided. She instructed the shop to send the duplicate dress to Xena as quickly as possible.
After sorting everything out, Jenna completely failed to notice that she had mixed up the people. Smugly, she thought to herself, “Good thing I caught the mix–up with the dresses. Otherwise, at the wedding, Xena–the real star–would’ve been stuck in a plain gown, while that impostor Mia wore the one adorned with 999 real diamonds. What a disaster that would’ve been!”
Chuckling to herself, Jenna was certain she had executed her task perfectly. She couldn’t wait

“He’ll be so impressed with me,” she thought. “Maybe he’ll even reward me with some gorgeous, expensive diamond jewelry!”
Jenna had been smugly waiting for Nick’s praise, confident she had done a fantastic job. Instead, she was met with Nick’s unrelenting fur
“Jenna, don’t make me ask a third time. What exactly did you do to Mia?” Nick’s icy gaze cut through her like a blade as he demanded, word by word, “Where. Is. She?”
“… …” Jenna stammered, lowering her head as she scrambled to come up with a lie.
But before she could, Nick’s voice dropped to a chilling tone, and he threatened, “You’d better tell me the truth. Don’t make me pult up the surveillance footage,”
That did it. Jenna knew she had no way out.
If Nick checked the cameras, everything she had done would be exposed in full detail, leaving her with no room to hide. At least if she confessed now, she could omit some of the worst Parts and make herself look a little better.
Resigned, Jenna began to confess, carefully crafting her story.
“Nick, I don’t know who would be so mean, but someone rigged a bucket of cold water above the door. When Mia walked in, it dumped all over her. Everyone started laughing at her, and she couldn’t take it, so she ran off.
“I tried to stop her, but I… I couldn’t.”
