Chapter 11
All the questions were finally answered.

I shot a cold, indifferent look at Celeste, whose smug smile made her look almost victorious.
I had always seen her as a naive woman obsessed with love.
Even as a mistress, she clung to Gavin, convinced that he was the one she deserved.
But now I realized–I had been the naive one.
For so many years, I had lived with a man who didn’t love me.
In my previous life, I had foolishly believed that his return was some kind of reward for my suffering.
I thought it was the happy ending I had been waiting for, only to end up dying at his hands, along with my son.
“This time, I won’t let anything happen to my son,” I swore under my breath.
“Oh? I’ll be watching,” Celeste sneered, her voice dripping with
sarcasm.
“Wait!”

Gavin, suddenly snapping out of his daze, hurried to catch up with me, looking completely lost.
“I can help you. I’m a lawyer, and I’m Oliver’s father…”
“Oliver said he has no father. He doesn’t need your help.”
I didn’t even look back.
Without another word, I walked straight to the police in charge of the case.
Oliver had already cleared up the basic facts, but as someone who had been reborn, I knew the full picture.
Gavin, frustrated and angry, turned to Celeste, his voice rising.
“Why are you doing this to me? I’ve been nothing but good to you. All these years, I never let go of you…”
Celeste’s voice cracked, but then she couldn’t hold back her laughter. It was an almost mocking, breathless laugh.
“You’ve been good to me?”
She laughed, her body shaking uncontrollably.
“When I was being slandered, where were you? You shut me out and ignored me completely. You didn’t even care to hear my side. The most disgusting person here is you! You say you love me, but you’re the one who left me high and dry when I needed. you most!”

Through the glass, I watched them, both glaring at each other with hatred.
Celeste knew that in my past life, Gavin had returned to my side after hearing my words, which led to her tragic end at the ski
resort.
What she didn’t know was that, after her death, Gavin had tortured both Oliver and me to death, seeking revenge in the name of love.
But Gavin, who thought he was avenging Celeste, had no idea that in this new life, he had only earned her hatred and the desire for revenge.
In a strange way, it felt laughable.
