Chapter 10

Lucy didn’t come on this show to pamper the Green family siblings and Cohen; she wasn’t about to tolerate them.

The colder her attitude towards those three, the more curious the audience would be about whether there were personal grudges. As things unfold, a lot of juicy details might come out.

Even if she faces criticism now, once her identity is revealed later, people will understand her situation better and look down on those siblings even more.

Moreover, the more she opposes Gracie, the more Ashley will react against her to protect his fake sister.

This drama will only get more exciting.

Her words stunned the director and other guests.

They hadn’t expected her to be so bold, to stand up like Parker. Wasn’t she afraid of being criticized?

Gracie, on the other hand, was secretly thrilled, thinking that Lucy’s defiance was because of her own provocation.

She could use Lucy as a stepping stone to build her own persona.

She put on a look of apology and said, “Sorry, I didn’t know you’d be dissatisfied. I thought you’d follow the program rules and stay here.”

Ashley also showed displeasure, saying, “You can be unhappy, but don’t take it out on Gracie.”

It was too much to criticize Gracie openly here!

The more Ashley thought about it, the angrier he got. He continued, “The program already stated it would be recorded in the countryside. If you’re dissatisfied with the conditions here and don’t want to stay, you should have considered that before coming! Don’t keep causing trouble for everyone!”

She had even fallen out with her family for this spot; what was she trying to do?

Lucy raised an eyebrow, finding it amusing, and said, “When did I say I was dissatisfied with the conditions or didn’t want to stay? Are you and your sister so good at creating your own narratives?”

“You…”

“Also,” Lucy said, her gaze turning slightly cold as she looked at Ashley’s flushed face.

“Is it a problem if I ask your sister not to speak on my behalf? You wanting to protect your sister is your own business, but don’t play favorites here and deliberately misinterpret others’ intentions.

“We’re all guests on this show; no one has to pamper you siblings. Please have some self-awareness.”

“Exactly,” Parker chimed in with a sarcastic smile, “No one here has to pamper you siblings. Take care of yourselves and stop causing trouble.”

Ashley glared at Parker, who was stoking the fire, but couldn’t do anything about him.

He had no choice but to direct his dissatisfaction at Lucy, “Since you’re not dissatisfied, why did you oppose it earlier?”

“Leo, please look clearly.”

Lucy pointed at the room, “The bed here is just a bare wooden board with no bedding or mattress. How are we supposed to sleep? Although the weather isn’t cold now, it will cool down at night. Aren’t you afraid of catching a cold?”

“You siblings can endure hardships, but sorry, I can’t sleep on a bare wooden board for a week.”

“So, I’m asking you to not represent me. I want to negotiate with the director to provide bedding and mattresses for everyone.”

“If you don’t need them, that’s fine, but don’t speak for others. At least I need them. Is that a problem?”

Her words left Ashley and Gracie speechless.

Gracie felt embarrassed, realizing Lucy’s words had slapped her in the face.

She only wanted to show off, but forgot about the bedding issue.

Such an oversight gave Lucy a reason to criticize her—how infuriating!

“I’ll give my opinion,” Parker said with a smile, “I can’t sleep on a bare wooden bed either. I need bedding.”

“Sorry, I also need it,” Demi chimed in.

A bare wooden board would likely cause backaches and chill them, making it impossible to sleep on for a week.

Gracie, in her bid to establish her persona, was completely out of touch with reality. Why should they suffer just to accommodate her?

“I also can’t manage a week on a wooden bed,” Mel added.

He hadn’t planned to get involved, but if Gracie agreed to this without the program providing bedding, it would be them who suffered.

It wasn’t about being fussy or unable to endure hardship; it was unnecessary.

Everyone’s statements made Gracie’s face turn even redder.

She cursed Lucy silently, then put on a pitiful expression and said, “Sorry… I didn’t consider it thoroughly. This is my fault…”

Right after, she explained, “I thought that not having a wardrobe or table was no big deal. The male guests have the same conditions; we female guests shouldn’t ask for special treatment. It wouldn’t be fair to you.”

“I really didn’t expect it would cause such a misunderstanding…” she added, wiping away her tears, looking so weak and pitiable.

Ashley immediately felt heartbroken: “It’s not a big deal, don’t think too much about it…”

“I was just speaking plainly; please don’t always play the victim,” Lucy said coldly.

Lucy had suffered enough from Gracie’s tricks at Green family. Gracie would always get teary-eyed from a few words, and then the Green family people would start blaming her, even if they saw the whole situation.

Now Gracie was using the same tactic again; Lucy would call her out.

By saying “always,” Lucy left an open-ended implication, hinting at future revelations about their past, including their time at Green family.

Lucy had planned this all along, to keep digging pits for Ashley and the fake little princess.

Given their tendency to provoke trouble, they were bound to fall into these pits.

It was their own fault for always being so restless and troublesome.

Lucy crossed her arms, feeling satisfied, while the comments in the live stream went wild.

[Ah, I want to get rid of Lucy that scheming bitch! How awful, bullying my little fairy again!]

[My little fairy’s eyes are red, sobbing. I feel so sorry! Come to my arms!]

[She just didn’t consider things thoroughly. Why is Lucy so fixated on her?]

[Probably jealous. She’s trying to flirt with Leo but he doesn’t like her. Leo treats his sister so well, so she’s sour!]

[So vicious, so disgusting!]

[I feel sorry for my little fairy and Leo, stuck with such a partner!]

Seeing Lucy being criticized, her fans couldn’t sit still and started fighting back.

[Which of you saw Lucy bully your little princess? She didn’t say anything harsh, and tears come easily, impressive!]

[Your little fairy didn’t think it through, no one blames her, but she shouldn’t speak for all guests for show!]

[Lucy is great, thinking things through. This bare bed has nothing, you can’t sleep on it. Lucy is right!]

Lucy’s fans were very clear-headed, but their numbers were insufficient.

Fortunately, Parker’s fans were also sharp and quickly joined the fray!
