Since Jacob was out, I decided to go through his computer.
I’d bought him the computer for the sole purpose of letting him play games on it. Since I’d never touched his computer, he stayed logged into WhatsApp at all times. I launched WhatsApp..
At first glance, nothing looked out of the ordinary. However, I was convinced that something was off.
Suddenly, an idea came to me. I clicked on the search bar and looked for phrases such as “I’m here.” and “What are you doing?”
Just then, a cute profile picture showed up in the search results.
Apparently, Jacob had hidden the chats and the messages so I wouldn’t stumble upon them.
My heart sank as I read through their sweet messages.

I’d always wondered why he insisted on playing at that specific pool hall. It wasn’t the biggest or the best pool hall in our area, but it was the one Queenie worked at.
Jacob and Queenie had been going out behind my back for quite some time now. I felt incredibly hurt. In their chat history, they talked about my fortune and called me an orphan. In their latest exchange, Jacob had told Queenie he’d help her pay off what she owed me too.
I cleared the browser history and sent Jacob 50 thousand dollars with tear–filled eyes. Then, I sent him a text message.
“I sent you the money, baby. Do let me know if you’ve received it on your end.”
Afterward, I disregarded his reply and immediately drove to our new house.
I grew up in an orphanage. After I got together with Jacob, a woman who claimed to be my distant aunt showed up and said I was the only family she had left.
After she passed away, I inherited her massive fortune. I then put the money into a fixed deposit and moved into the house she left me together with Jacob.
Cur new house was bought with a mortgage, Since the house reeked of formaldehyde after it underwent renovation, we made the decision to move in at a later date instead. Then, we ended up deciding to move in only after we got married.
I never expected the house to become a getaway home for Jacob and his mistress. Once I opened the door, I was shocked at what I saw.
