Malcolm was slightly relieved to see Tabitha standing aside with an expressionless face as soon as he arrived

Naomi threw herself into his arms and cried, Malcolm, Sylvie’s baby is gone. It’s all my fault. I did this to her…

Tabitha glanced at them indifferently before turning her eyes away. There seemed to be no change in her expression

Malcolm withdrew his gaze and comforted Naomi, It’s okay now. Try to stay away from situations like this in the future.”

I have a problem!Aggrieved, Sylvie suddenly spoke up. Mr. Sinclair, I have something to say to you.”

Malcolm frowned. He did not like Sylvie very much, but he knew she had a miscarriage and thought it was unsuitable to treat her coldly

Sylvie glared at Tabitha resentfully and said, Mr. Sinclair, it was Tabitha who asked me to do what I did at Four Seasons Bar.”

What did you say?Malcolm’s eyes turned icy. Speak your truth, but if I find out you lied”

His eyes were freezing without a hint of warmth. Sylvie’s words were stuck in her throat, and she dared not say anything

more

What Naomi wanted was for Sylvie to go against Tabitha, and she quickly said, Malcolm, Sylvie just lost her baby and is very sad about it. Tabitha certainly didn’t mean it. Let’s go out and let Sylvie rest.”

Tabitha already understood what kind of act Naomi was going for and scoffed inwardly, thinking, Let’s see if Malcolm believes such a clumsy lie

Sylvie gathered up her courage, which initially dissipated. Now that she lost her child, the glory and wealth she had hoped for were also gone

This is all Tabitha’s fault!she thought

At this point, Sylvie harbored immense hatred toward Tabitha. She clenched her jaw and said,

Sinclair, Tabitha gave me an amount of money and purposefully let me hire someone to hurt her. She was trying to hurt herself to make you pity her.”

Malcolm immediately looked at Tabitha but detected no emotion on her calm face

He questioned Sylvie coldly, Why did you expose her now?”

Because she burnt bridges! She hated mistresses like us, so she used Beatrice against me. She’s so vicious that she killed my child! I will never forgive her!she said

Tabitha snickered and said, It seems like you know you’re a mistress. You’re quite selfaware.”

Naomi glared at her angrily and spoke. Ms. Jarvis! Look at how miserable Sylvie is! Just stop provoking her-

I’m just telling the truth. Aren’t I praising her for being selfaware? How did I provoke her?Tabitha retorted calmly, Besides, she claimed to be a mistress first. What’s wrong with me repeating her words?”

Naomi had experienced Tabitha’s sharp tongue at the swimming pool once, and her expression became twisted instantly

She took a deep breath and changed the subject tensely, Also, I was celebrating my friend’s birthday that day. You came over and insulted us for no reason. I thought you just didn’t like me, but it turns out..”

Tabitha looked up and coldly met Malcolm’s inquiring eyes. She wanted to see Malcolm’s decision

After two misunderstandings about Tabitha, Malcolm did not believe Sylvie immediately. Instead, he asked, Tabitha, do you have anything to explain?”

Explain? I’m the victim of the incident in that nightclub, and Malcolm wants me to explain it to him? Tabitha thought

She straightened her delicate back and replied with a question, Malcolm, are you suspecting me again?”

You’ve never gone to places like nightclubs in the past,he answered

This was an expected reaction, and Tabitha thought she would be heartbroken but realized she was far too numb to feel anything by now

This was her status in Malcolm’s heart. Even a lie made up by someone random could instantly make him suspect her

She lowered her gaze, concealing the selfdeprecation in her eyes. Her voice was soft but filled with coldness

She said, There is surveillance footage of the clinic. I will bring it to the police. It will be clear at a glance as to who caused trouble. Also, I will list the losses the clinic suffered today. Those who caused trouble should compensate for them.”

Don’t dodge the topic.” Malcolm frowned and said, Answer my question first.”

Tabitha did not feel the grievance or sadness of being accused. She did not even have the desire to explain herself. She sneered, Mr. Sinclair, you are not a police officer and have no right to interrogate me.”

After saying that, she turned around and strode

out without sparing a look at anyone else in the ward
