Chapter64
“Does it mean you didn’t go to the hospital to see grandpa today?” Kaylie looked surprised.
“Kaylie, your sister just went to the company. She has a lot of things to do, but it’s good that we are here at the hospital.”
After Theresa finished speaking, she gently instructed Charlotte, “Charlotte, you go about your business, Grandpa has us to take care of him.”
Charlotte nodded, “Hmm.”
Watching Charlotte drive away, Kaylie once again felt a sense of imbalance in her heart.
She had been living with the Hamilton family for so many years, and her parents had never mentioned letting her manage the company, but Charlotte has only been back for a few days?
She was entrusted with the company, it was really biased!
Charlotte arrived at the company and as soon as she walked in, she saw four security guards standing in perfect formation. Upon seeing her, they immediately greeted her warmly with a loud voice, saying, “Good morning, Ms. Hamilton!”
Charlotte raised an eyebrow and said, “You did well today, but your responsibility is to take care of the company’s security. Don’t put your strength in the wrong place.”
“Yes, Ms. Hamilton!”
Regarding the incident where Charlotte fired two receptionists from the
company yesterday, she sent them a strong warning, emphasizing that they can no longer be careless in handling their duties.
Although Laurel Apparel was not a large company, it was backed by the Hamilton Group, and the company offered the same benefits as the headquarters. They did not want to lose such a good job.
“Good morning. Ms. Hamilton.”
As Vanessa, dressed in a front desk uniform, passed by the front desk, she smiled and greeted Charlotte.
Charlotte stopped in her tracks and furrowed her brow, “What are you doing here?”
The two receptionists from yesterday have already submitted their resignations on their own. As the incident happened suddenly, the company hasn’t had time to recruit new receptionists, so the HR Department transferred Vanessa over as an emergency measure.
“Ms. Hamilton, I, I didn’t have any
important tasks in the Design Department, and the HR Department hadn’t hired a new receptionist yet, so they transferred me over. I will be going back to the Design
Department in a couple of days.”
Charlotte’s face turned slightly cold.
Did you move the intern designer from the Design Department to the company’s front desk?
Well, they really came up with it.
“Did you bring the work?”
Vanessa didn’t expect Charlotte to ask about this, and quickly handed a prepared file folder to Charlotte, “Ms. Ilamilton, here it is. Please give me your guidance.”
“Um.”
Watching Charlotte’s figure disappear into the distance, Vanessa regretfully slapped her own head.
How did I forget to ask if Ms. Hamilton’s hand was feeling better?
Just as Charlotte had left, a playboy from the company arrived.
Dressed in designer clothes, wearing a limited edition diamond watch on the wrist, he walked while checking the time.
Four security guards saw him and quickly saluted, saying, “Good morning, Mr. Nigel.”
Nigel Hendrix nodded rebelliously, hmm–ed, and as he looked up, he noticed that the receptionist at the company had been replaced.
“Oh? When did the company receptionist change? This girl looks quite attractive,” Nigel leered at Vanessa, who was busy tidying up her desk with her head down.
The little follower by my side nodded and bowed, “I, subordinate, also do not know.”
Nigel approached and tapped on the front desk, “Are you new here?”
Vanessa knew that the man in front of her, Mr. Nigel, was Mr. Hendrix’s son and served as the general manager in the company. There were many rumors surrounding him, whether it was with the ladies from the Secretary Department, the Design Department, or even the Sales
Department of the Finance Department. It seemed like he had undisclosed connections with all of them.
