Frank went pale.
Ashley knew it was over and was
horrorstruck.
He couldn’t believe it and checked the
evidence again.
Recordings of Frank and Ashley, Mikey’s
medical files, security footage from the crash,
even the records of them removing my uterus.
They proved he’d been lying to me for years.
Frank’s breathing sped up, and panic flashed
in his eyes.
“This… this is fake!”

He grabbed my shoulders. “Someone made
this to break us up!”
“Honey, trust me. I’d never hurt you and
Danny!”
I laughed. “Yeah, you were so good to us. We
thought you were the best husband, the best
dad.”
“But I heard you planning it.”
Frank let go.
“You planned the crash to steal Danny’s
heart, to cure Mikey.”
“You wanted our son dead, and all these
years, you were just being kind because you

“You had them take my uterus. You stole my
child and my chance to be a mother.”
Frank tried to argue, but he couldn’t say
anything.
“You said Mikey was your only child.”
“And I’d always be your wife?”
I sneered.
“I don’t give a damn about being your wife!”
I glared at them, wanting to kill them.
“I’ll avenge Danny. I’ll ruin you. I’ll make you
pay with blood!”

Ashley shrank back.
I smiled. “You killed my son. Did you think I’d
let your son live?”
Ashley screamed, “No!”
“Do you think you can catch us with these?”
“My husband is the Sterling family, you think
you can beat that?”
“I’m warning you, Sarah. Don’t do anything
stupid. Frank will take you down if you hurt
my family!”
“If you hurt Mikey, we will come for you.”
Frank stared at the ground, eyes closed.
“Honey, I’m sorry. I failed you and Danny.”
“Baby, what are you saying? You can’t admit
to it!”
Frank ignored her.
“I know you can never forgive me.”
“Give me a chance. I’ll fix it. I’ll spend my life
fixing what I did.”
“Mikey’s just a kid. He’s innocent.”
“Fix it? How?” I laughed.
“Nothing can bring my son back!”
Frank’s eyes were red. “I’m sorry…”

“You’re sorry to me, but mostly to Danny!”
“I don’t believe you anymore. I’m calling the
cops, and you and Ashley will get what you
deserve.”
“She can’t call the cops!”
Ashley grabbed Frank’s arm and shook him.
“We’ll go to jail!”
“Wake up! You die by yourself and don’t drag
me down with you!”
I gathered the evidence and walked to the
door.
Frank pushed Ashley away and grabbed my
arm.

“Honey, I’m sorry.”
The sirens blared.
The cops walked in, and Frank let go.
I ran behind them.
“Mr. Sterling, Ms. Davies, we’ve received a
report of murder and illegal organ transplants.
Come with us.”
“No! This isn’t right!”
Ashley screamed. “It’s this woman!”
She pointed at me. “She kidnapped my son!”
“She’s the one you need to arrest!”

Footsteps came from upstairs.
Mikey came rubbing his eyes. “Mom, Dad, are
you here to pick me up?”
Ashley went pale. “You tricked us? You used
Mikey to get us here?”
“You trapped us!”
I stared at her and gave the evidence to the
cops.
“Here’s proof of their crimes. Please follow
the law.”
Ashley tried to get out of it.
“He’s Frank Sterling! Head of the Sterling
Group! Do you know who he is?”

“It’s Frank! He did it all! I didn’t know!”
Frank was shocked that she’d thrown him
under the bus.
He saw her saying cruel things and didn’t
know her anymore.
Frank looked at me as he was led to the car.

I held Danny’s photo and stared at him.
