After a long day of classes, I was eager to relax and enjoy a meal in the cafeteria. But as I walked in, I found an unexpected obstacle in my path–Tiara.”
Normally, Tiara was all smiles and charm, but today was different. Her eyes were red and puffy, and her usually vibrant red lips looked pale and drained of colour.
“What did you say to Marlaux??” she snapped, her voice sharp and accusing.”
I frowned, confused by her sudden outburst. I hadn’t said much of anything to him lately, and I couldn’t understand why she was lashing out at me.”
Seeing my confusion seemed to fuel her anger. “Don’t play dumb! You must have done something behind my back, or why else would he be ignoring me?““}
Her voice rose as she continued. “Ever since that stupid soccer match, his attitude toward me has changed. Everyone knows you’ve been after him for ages, dreaming of getting him for yourself.“}
“Lashana, you’re pathetic,” she spat. “Even if Marlaux and I don’t end up together, you’ll never have him.“}
I stood there, too shocked to respond. But then her eyes shifted, and a sly smile crept across her face.
“Besides,” she said, her tone shifting to something more playful, “with my looks, I can easily find another guy–someone even hotter than Marlaux. It’ll only take a minute.“\
Following her gaze, I saw Kelvis approaching, holding a tray of burgers and fries.
Tiara flipped her hair flirtatiously and put on her most charming smile, stepping right in Kelvis’s path.”
“Hey there, handsome,” she said. “You look familiar. The moment I saw you, I knew we were destined to meet. Want to add me on Facebook?“}
Kelvis, looking slightly uncomfortable, politely declined and tried to step around her. But Tiara wasn’t about to give up that easily. She grabbed his arm, forcing him to stop again.”
“In such a hurry? Do you have a class tonight?” she asked, bumping into him playfully. The motion caused one of his fries to fall off the tray and onto the ground.
Tiara bent down in an exaggerated pose, making sure to show off her curves as she picked up the fallen fry. Biting her lip suggestively, she straightened up slowly as if waiting for a reaction.
Kelvis glanced at her, his expression confused but polite. After a moment of hesitation, he sighed. “If you really want to eat it… I suppose that’s fine.“”
I couldn’t help but laugh. The whole situation was so absurd.”
Tiara, however, froze in place, her face flushed with embarrassment. As one of the most admired girls in our department, she wasn’t used to being humiliated like this.”
“You–don’t you know who I am?” she stammered, her voice shaking with frustration. “Have you never heard of me?“}
Kelvis gave her a quick once–over, his expression remaining indifferent. Then, as if he had just remembered something, he nodded. “Oh, right. You’re Marlaux’s ex–girlfriend, aren’t you?”
His words hit her like a slap. Tiara’s face turned bright red with fury, and she stomped her foot in frustration. “I haven’t broken up with Marlaux yet!” She yelled, drawing the attention of everyone around us.
Whispers immediately spread through the crowd.
“Wow, Tiara just got totally shut down.“”
“She’s always so stuck–up. It’s about time someone put her in her place.“”
“Kelvis is a legend. No wonder Tiara’s tricks don’t work on him. She can only fool guys like Marlaux.”
“Oh, haven’t you heard? Marlaux dumped her. She’s just refusing to admit it. It’s kinda sad, honestly.“”
“I used to think Lashana was just boring, but she seems so much more down–to–earth compared to Tiara.“”
As the gossip around us grew louder, Tiara’s face twisted in anger and shame. She looked like she wanted to disappear, but instead of retreating, she turned her anger on me.”
With a furious glare, she lunged at me, screaming, “This is all your fault, you b*tch! Stop pretending to be so innocent!”
Before I could react, she grabbed me by the neck. But just as quickly, Kelvis stepped in, pulling her off me with one swift motion.
Gasps filled the cafeteria as everyone watched the scene unfold.
Kelvis‘ expression had turned cold, colder than I’d ever seen it. The air around him seemed to chill as he spoke, his voice sharp and commanding. “I always believe in treating people with respect,” he said, glaring at Tiara. “But it seems not everyone deserves it.”
“If you bother Lashana again, you’ll regret it.”
