Chapter 20 Theodore Stein

Rosabe thought to herself, So in his eyes. I’ve always been a parasite, leeching off him, incapable of surviving without him.
“Fine. If youre a comfortable in your role as a rich wife and want to make life harder for yourself. I’ll help you out. I’ll have my assistant prepare the divorce papers. Let’s meet outside city hall next Monday morning, Nathaniel said enlilly.
His brow furrowed as his gaze grew colder by the second, and without another word, he got in his car and left.
Rosalie’s chest tightened with discomfort. She hailed an empty taxi and headed over to Candice’s place.
Candice, noticing how furious Rosalie was, with her hands visilily trembling, teased, “So, did you see Nathaniel again?”
Rosalie nødded. “Yeah, I’m going to divorce him next Monday?
Candice raised an eyebrow “Well, I hope you can go through with it this time”
I will Rosalie thought, opening her mouth to speak, but Candice interrupted, turning her laptop screen toward Rosalie.
“The firewall you installed is working. It seems we’ve got a target to track,”
Rosalie sat down, slipping into her slippers. The data on the screen pointed directly at IronSpell Machines,
Nathaniel was the one trying to control the people at Toperest Inc. through a planted mole at Edmond’s company.
Rosalie had more or less suspected it already. After all, Nathaniel and Edmond had always been rivals at the Drake family, though they only pretended to get along in front of Eldon
“Package up this data and send it all to Edmond, Rosalie instructed.
“You’re really going against your husband, huh?” Candice asked, raising an eyebrow,
Although Edmond was far less ruthless than Nathaniel, taking him on would definitely drain their energy and resources
Rosalie had always been protective of Nathaniel, but now she was willingly stirring up trouble with him?
Rosalie’s fingers flew over the keyboard, quickly pressing a few keys. With one final enter key, she sent everything to Edmond’s private email.
“I’m not going against him. Edmond’s the one at war with him. I’m just passing on the information. Taking money, doing the job,” Rosalie said, nonchalantly.
Candice gave her a thumbs–up. “You’re good.”
Rosalie stood up. “Continue helping me with the orders in the name of JK”
Once the divorce was final, she’d have to rely on herself. She needed to pick up everything she’d left behind, piece by piece.
Besides, she wanted Nathaniel to see that she could make it on her own.
“Are you really planning to come back?” Candice asked.
“If I don’t, you won’t be able to find a single mole,” Rosalie replied, her tone sharp.
When it came to hacking, her talent was leagues ahead of Candice’s. If she hadn’t been so focused on Nathaniel all these years, she would ve made a fortune front her skills by now.
“If you weren’t so good, I wouldn’t be following you, Candice said with a grin. “Leave this to me. By the way, have you had the chance to check out those apartments I showed you last time?”

The process went smoothly. The apartments met all of Rosalie’s expectations, from the direction of the rooms to the amenities
The place was fully furnished, move–in ready, which saved her a lot of time.
They signed the contract, and the apartment was officially hers.
Rosalie finally felt like she’d accomplished something amidst the chaos, and her mood lightened
As they were about to leave, the neighbor across the hall happened to open their door
When their eyes met, Rosalie froze in surprise.
During the time she’d built her team, she’d recruited several talented and capable hackers. Though she hadn’t kept in touch with them for years, she still remembered everyone’s face.
codore? What are you doing here!” Rosalie asked.
Theodore Stein was one of the first people she had brought into her team.
His hacking skills were second only to hers.
Theodore came from a poor background, often going without meals, and because of his introverted nature, he had no friends.
If Rosalie hadn’t stepped in back then and helped him, he might have ended up starving on the streets.
Their paths had crossed only a few times, and after Rosalie married Nathaniel, Theodore had voluntarily left the team, and naturally, their contact had ceas
