Chapter 51
The news regarding Alpha Declan’s announcement filled the entire community, that even the shock of possibly seeing the Blood Creature was momentarily forgotten.
“When is the coronation? Are we doing a big event for it?” Asked their new rendezvous.

They were the only ones currently present for their meeting for today since Alpha Gilmore and Alpha Wallace were still recovering from their injuries. Alhha Kent also was injured but his Alpha wolf was quick to heal.

Agreeing for someone to be king–someone higher than they are and leading the entire place they’ve lived their entire life is going to be life changing
“Alpha Declan saved so many packs. We would never have lasted in that fight had he not been our main proiector along with despite his thoughts
h his Beta,” Jasper said
He wanted to be as logical as he could. He wanted to use his brain and not anything else when deciding about this. Expecially this, that will affect the general welfare of everyone.
“But is being strong enough? And the Blood Creature came for us. He wasn’t the one who saved us, if that’s where you’re going with this.” Alpha Samwell argued, having the same thoughts as Jasper.
He may not have said many things during that meeting with the other southern Alphas, but a part of him agreed with Alpha Gilmore. Not because he thought of himself higher than anyone, but he just couldn’t believe that anyone of that strength and influence wouldn’t use it to conquer places and other packs for their own benefit.
And for all they knew, the Vampires might have a personal problem with Alpha Declan and the latter was just using them as guards and walls against his enemies.
“Alpha Declan has proved himself so many
by times Alpha Kent replied. “We do not have any obvious reasons, to not agree with this.”
Jasper just listened to them as they talked. A few seconds later, two werewolves came into their new meeting place. The Betax of Alpha Gilmore and Alpha Wallace.
“Greetings, Alphas. The two bowed. “We have heard about the proclamation made by Alpha Declan and his Council.” Alpha Wallace’s Bera spoke.
“And as much as we see the point of their reason of doing this, we still have our apprehensions. Fortunately, we are not alone in this,”
“What do you mean?” Jasper asked Beta Cole, Alpha Gilmore’s second hand.
The Betas took their seats on the long table and quickly went on to business.
“I have heard that some packs from both East and West that were able to protect themselves against these Vampires did not like this proclamation. They said that if we are going to build a kingdom, they wanted all of us to have a choice to choose our first king
Jasper quickly saw the agreement lacing inside the eyes of his comrades inside the room. And he too, could not deny that he agreed with that reasoning.

“What do they suggest that we do! I believe the documents for all Alphas stamps of approval will arrive tomorrow.” he asked the Betas who had valuable information for them.
“They suggest each region should have a candidate for the kingship. They want our first ruler to be voted by the mass, and not just appointed by
default”
“Well, then for the southern region, Alpha Jasper will be our candidate.”
“Wait, we hadn’t even discussed yet,” Jasper reacted when Alpha Sainwell immediately appointed him as representative.
“Don’t you are their point, Alpha Jasper? If they want everyone to agree with this upcoming kingdom, they need to give us democracy first, Agree to be our candidate, and we will make sure to support you,” the Alplu reasoned.
“But you can’t just easily appoint me. We have Alpha Gillmore from one of the oldest Alpha clans, and Alpha Wallace. He’s gone through so many challenges and has also proven himself capable”
“Alpha, everyone in this room could agree that you are the most he candidate for the kingship among us“ Alpha Samwell gestured at himself.

“Look at us. You are so much younger than all of us, and you are so much stronger. Your Alpha blood has always been strong, and you have led the South along with your decisions in your pack. You may be the youngest Alpha in the South, but we all look up to you.”
Jasper exhaled as all the others nodded their heads in agreement. He could see in their faces that they were not backing down on this decision. And he truly could see their point..
But does he ever want this! Jasper could bet being king would feel amazing, but the responsibilities that came with the title would be something he wasn’t sure he’d be able to tackle.
Besides, what has been in his mind since he heard about that news wasn’t about whether Declan was going to be king or when the kingdom was going to be built. His mind was running around about Lauren. Whether she was going to be Luna and Queen to Declan and his people.
Something sunk in him with the thought. He already felt lacking without her presence in his pack.
And now,
she was going to be claimed by someone else.
He turned to Beta Cole. “If each region gets a representative, what then?”
“Each representative will have to go to Black Ridges Pack for a series of challenges and screenings we will have to do to choose properly. That should be fair for all of us.”
Jasper nodded slowly. “Black Ridges.”
“Are you agreeing. Alpha Jasper?” Alpha Kent asked. The Alpha has not said anything about Jasper as their representative, but it was clear that he also didn’t have any opposing reactions.
Jasper wanted to see Lauren. He wanted to talk to her and see the twins. Since they left, he had never heard anything from them. Even his wolf wanted to feel their presence that had been constantly with him for five years.
So if agreeing meant having the chance to see Lauren,
“Yes. If this will allow everyone to cast proper votes for our newly established kingdom, so be it.”
