“He’s coming
Lauren heaved a deep breath as she stood in front of the pack house with Jasper, Fred and the Councilmen as they waited for Declan’s arrival
Everyone in the pack already knew what was going to happen today. After the Council meeting yesterday, it has already been agreed to let Black Ridges Park have an association with them, in exchange of Alpha Declan’s requests.
Lauren didn’t know whether the Council already knew about Declan’s specific requests. But she assumed they already knew Jasper has always been honest with his co-

“Alpha Declan.” Jasper greeted. It made his cold eyes go to him, to Lauren’s relief.

Lauren barely had any sleep last night with the on–going debate she had with her silly wolt.
“I hope you have already made up your mind,” Declan sail as soon as he was face to face with all the officials of Blue Mountains Pack. He was taller than anyone, even taller than Jasper by a couple of inches.
But Jasper didn’t show any signs of inferiority as he spoke confidently. “We did.”
“Good. You won’t have any other choice, anyway.”
Jasper clenched his jaw as Declan passed by them. Lauren looked at her Alpha and saw how angry those bright brown eyes were.
“Hey don’t let him get to you” She touched his arm to calm him down.
The rest of the Council was with Fred when they followed Declan inside their packhouse as if he owned the place. Lauren also got annoyed with the

She just wanted this meeting to be done and over with so she could get back to her work and her children.
“Come on” She urged Jasper to get inside the meeting room, knowing that everyone was already there.
Jasper got inside first, then Lauren followed. But as soon as she did, she felt those cold gazes on her again.
She met Declan’s eyes and saw how mad he was as he looked back and forth between her and Jasper.
“Now that your Alpha is here, let us get to the point.” Declan spoke up, getting everyone’s attention even before she and Jasper could sit
Jasper seethed on his seat, but he didn’t do anything as Declan’s Alpha energy overpowered his

“We already know how to fight,” Jasper intersected, insulted by Declan’s insinuation

“Do not take my words badly, Alphia Jasper. I am just here to perform the side of my bargain as I expect you to do the same.”
“Have you” Declan glans ed ai lauren who sat beside Jasper. He was looking at them so pointedly as if he was just holding back his anger.

“I am going to offer training to your soldiers so you can defeat the enemy once they target you. You will also be part of the training Alpha jasper.”

The man may be kind and gentle most of the time, but he still had an Alpha wolf His patience could only extend as much before he would snap. He would not let anyone trample him like that.
“I am the strongest Alpha in the Southern lands. Alpha Declan Once I stop this negotiation right now, all of the other packs in the South will not follow you. If you continue pushing in this direction, you won’t have to deal with just one enemy anymore. So choose your words wisely” Jasper seethril.

“Alpha Vlad was bedridden for months, we all know that right?”
Some nodded slowly, knowing about the strongest Alpha in the Est where his lands extended on some nearby islands.

Disbelief hung in the air.
“Are you saying that he was defeated by our enemies? Alpha Vlad is deemed as the strongest Alpha in our lands since he became Alpha at such a young age. He he was even said to be stronger than you.”
“Not anymore.” Declan told their General who just stared at the latter wide–eyed,
“He also did not accept my offer the first time. He even issued a notice to kill me for insulting his abilities. But where did he crawl once his pack was almost unihilated? Me.”
Silence filled the air as everyone took in the information.
It was shocking news when they all heard how the mighty Alpha Vlad was found almost dead in the woods of his pack. Everyone thought he was gone, but they thankfully managed to get the best healer who helped him
Lauren had vivid nightmares for days when she heard about the news. They learned how most of Alpha Vlad’s pack was gone. But a group soldiers helped them and saved what’s left of the once strongest pack in all over the lands.
And they were all just realizing now that it was Declan who saved them.

“Now, don’t take my words personally, Apha Jasper. I just want to help you. With Alpha Vlad gone, the rest of the packs in the East all look up to me. The packs in there are fearful. And we don’t want that fear to extend in the South once their strongest Alpha also becomes bedridden, or gets killed just because of his pride blocking his logic to create a sound decision.”
Jasper could only keep his silence once he realized the truth of his words. Only a few Alphas knew about what truly happened to Alpha Vlad. But he didn’t know it was those specific enemies that did that to him.
“Who are these enemies, Alpha Declant Who are these creatures that could keep up with our superior strength” The General once again asked.
Lauren and Declan’s eyes met.
“Lauren knows what they are.
She heaved a deep sigh when all attention went to her.

Even Lauren, who already had that in mind, had a sinking feeling in her stomach.
Ban there’s barely any of them. No one has seen any of them for centuries. How?” Jasper asked, stunned just like everybody else.
“They have been breeding for the last couple of years. I believe their first attempt at showing power was when they attacked the Blue Mountains Pack. Upon winning, they realized they could continue gaining power by creating more of them and destroying packs.”
“Why are they doing als? To rule?” Jasper u
once again asked, sucked in the discussion now. –
“Most probably, since they also targei Alplus before they get to their packs.”

Declan heaved a deep sigh as silence hung in the air again. Everyone was processing all the information they had just heard.

Declan’s eyes went to Lauren, and she could only grip on her fingers as she willed all of herself not to get pulled by those magnetic blue eyes again.
“I don’t want to let the Vampires conquer our lands. I just want everyone to be safe, especially my family

Declan didn’t even glance at Erwin anymore when he leaned both of his arms on the table. He put his hands on the table and Lauren’s breath Wit caught when she saw what he was wearing in his finger.
“Why don’t you tell them, Lauren!” Every attention went to her. Her heart beat accelerated.
“Why don’t you tell them that you are my wife, and that you kept our children away from me?”
Gasps of shock filled the meeting room.
But Lauren glared at Declan, her bitter memories with the man coming back to her in a whirlwind of hurt as she glanced at the wedding ring he was wearing in his finger.
