“Mr. Peterson?”
“I have a sister. Her name is Isadora.”
Richard’s face dropped at that revelation. Since failing to contact Isadora and ask her out, he knew she was determined to cut ties with him. That was why he switched his attitude, vowing to make her pay./

“You don’t need to know what the Whitmores think. All you have to remember is to get your perverted self away from her as long as I’m alive.
Richard’s eyes darted around, seemingly coming to a new revelation. Who would’ve thought the innocent–looking Isadora was actually a slut who threw herself at Ryan?
“Got it?”
“I got it. I do.” Richard smiled sheepishly, his forehead dripping with cold sweat. “Don’t worry, Mr. Peterson. I’ll be sure to satisfy your needs.”
“Thanks for your cooperation then.”
“No big deal. It’s part of my job.”
Ryan’s appearance was expectedly useful. Immediately, the clients resumed their deals with
the studio.
Time passed, and it was the day of Catherine’s hospital discharge. The jaundiced newborn had recovered, and the yellowish tint on her face had faded, replaced by skin that was now fair and
rosy.
Emily and Patricia applied body soap when bathing Catherine, leaving her skin clean and soft. She lay on a piece of netting in a basin of warm water, its arms and legs flailing about.
Catherine’s limbs were not as slender as Angelina had imagined for an infant. They were chubby and appeared slightly segmented, resembling a sunchoke.”
After being apart for a while, probably due to the good nutrition at the hospital, Catherine had grown a lot. The clothes that had been loose now seemed a bit tight..
“Get some rest, Angelina. It’s not good for you to be squatting.”

Patricia quickly turned around and brought over a stool. She and Emily washed the baby while Angelina sat nearby, watching..
The loving smile on the face of the mother, who hadn’t seen her child for a long time, was so tender that it couldn’t be hidden.
After the bath, the fragrant and fair little Catherine was dried off, put to sleep, and placed onto Angelina’s bed. She held the little one, showering her with kisses and gentle touches.
Occasionally, she would stroke her chubby little hands or pinch her round face, playing with her soft little body in her tiny clothes.
When she had played enough, Angelina lay on her side, had a bite to eat, and fell asleep, breathing in the sweet scent of the baby.
On the other hand, Chester ran into some issues at work. The software they had released was unexpectedly sued for copyright infringement by another software company.
The opposing company had been established for just over a year but was essentially a shell company with no actual projects under its belt.
Yet, out of nowhere, they presented a pile of evidence, claiming that he had plagiarized.
Just as the software gained popularity, Chester was notified to temporarily halt its operation due to the lawsuit. It was a harsh blow to him, as many of his business partners began demanding compensation.
He stayed up for two consecutive nights, working hard to organize the evidence and trying to find a way to resolve the lawsuit as quickly as possible.
As the first light broke, Alexander brought his stuff over. Chester held a cigarette between his fingers, saying, “Don’t waste your effort.”
His movement halted, and the latter continued, “It was William.”
Alexander scrunched his brows. “What did you even do to him?”
As soon as there was the slightest hint of progress, William couldn’t wait to suppress it.
“I’m not sure.”
“He just wants to drag this out until your software is suspended and the users forget about it. Even if he loses the lawsuit, your software will have lost its value.”
