It had been over two weeks since the break–in, and Caleb and Alexis still hadn’t realized I was dead.
They kept calling my phone, but it just went to voicemail every time.
“Nicole can’t wait any longer. Amelia blocked us just to avoid donating her kidney!” Caleb was so angry he nearly smashed the phone.
“She’s been rotten since she was a kid. I should never have had Amelia. Thank God we still have Nicole!” Alexis fumed.
Nicole sat there, looking all innocent and pitiful, tears streaming down her face.
“It’s my fault. I shouldn’t have tried to take Isaac from Amelia. That’s why she’s mad and won’t donate her kidney to me…”

Caleb and Alexis always favored her, so Isaac leaving me and my refusal to donate a kidney were all somehow my fault.

The comments in the livestream were getting nastier by the second. Even as a spirit, I couldn’t bear to read them anymore.

The hateful comments flooded in. I clutched my chest, feeling a sharp pain.

To force me to donate my kidney, Caleb and Alexis were on camera, recounting every horrible thing I’d supposedly done since childhood, painting me as a monster.
Nicole stood by, playing the innocent victim, torn between exposing my ‘evil‘ and feeling sorry for them.
In reality, all those awful things they talked about were actually done by Nicole.
The hate kept growing, and soon enough, people dug up all my personal info and history.

“My uncle works at the police station. They said Amelia died twenty days ago.”

But the person didn’t give up. “I’m serious. I asked my uncle. Amelia was killed in a home invasion over twenty days ago. She was raped, tortured, and dismembered. It was brutal!”
Then, the guy even posted a screenshot of the report.
The comment section went dead silent.
After a while, someone finally typed: [This is actually real!]
More people started to comment.
[Amelia’s been dead all this time? And in such a horrible way?]
[She’s been dead for over twenty days, and her family didn’t even notice? They were still pushing her to donate a kidney. Is Amelia even their daughter?]

The comments started to flip. The ones who were bashing me at first, changed their tune once they found out I was dead.

Caleb and Alexis sat there, stunned, staring at the comments, their faces full of disbelief. “Amelia… is she really dead?”
Seeing this, Nicole quickly ended the stream. ” Mom, Dad, don’t be fooled. This is all Amelia’s doing. She’s just mad that I took Isaac and won’t give me her kidney!”
Meanwhile, Isaac kept dialing my number over and over. When no one answered, he smashed his phone in rage.
I watched it all with cold eyes, showing no emotion.
Dear Mom and Dad, it took you twenty days after I was raped and dismembered to realize I was dead.
