I didn’t care how he felt. Even if he disagreed with the divorce, the court would automatically grant it after three months.
Seeing that I hadn’t responded, Harry decided to call me.
While he was calling, I was busy unpacking my things in my new apartment.
He assumed I was intentionally ignoring his calls.
So, he vented his emotions in our chat.
“I went on a trip with Emily to cheer her up, and then you inexplicably send me a divorce agreement–what’s that about? I know I was wrong and I’ve said I would compensate you. Hailey, can’t you be a bit more mature and stop causing a scene?”
When I saw his message, I just found it amusing.

There was a time when he would go out and stay out all night, and I would always message him to show my concern.
But Harry had no patience for my caring gestures.
I clearly remembered the day he returned home after a night out. He knocked over the milk I had prepared for him and told me I was too annoying.
From then on, I didn’t message him as often as I used to.
For seven years, I had been changing myself for him, only for everything to end up being my fault.
Not long after, Harry updated his social media with a photo of himself and Emily.
In the picture, they were embracing and kissing, looking like a loving couple married for
seven years.
Honestly, I found it somewhat amusing when I saw that post.
Harry sent me warm, caring messages in the morning, but he was out with his beloved first love in the evening.
He wanted to be a gentle, devoted husband while still being attached to his charming and beautiful first love.
Catering to the emotional needs of two women in one day must be quite exhausting.
In the evening, while I was resting in bed, Harry called me again.
As soon as I answered, his irritated voice came through the line.
“I’ve been messaging you for three days; why haven’t you replied? Why won’t you answer my calls? Hailey, what do you want?”
Faced with Harry’s impatience, I was indifferent.
“I was packing and didn’t check my phone.”
When Harry realized I wasn’t as concerned about him as before, his voice became sharp.
“Don’t you usually call me back after you finish unpacking? You weren’t like this before! And what was with you sending me a divorce agreement this morning? Didn’t I say I’d compensate you?”
Before he could say anything else, I hung up the phone.
“If you don’t have anything important, don’t call me. Remember to sign the divorce agreement. I used to reply to you immediately out of love, but now you mean nothing to me. Harry, no one will wait for you forever.”
