As the thought crossed his mind, Nick clutched his chest, a searing pain tearing through his heart. It was so intense he could barely breathe.

By now, Nick had learned about Mia’s mother’s passing.

“Ha… ha… ha…!” Nick erupted into a fit of maniacal laughter as the memories of his past atrocities crashed over him. Tears streamed down his face as his laughter turned wild and unhinged.
