A man who had done such things had no grounds to judge Mia’s actions now.
As Mia and James’s relationship deepened, Nick finally came to a heart–wrenching realization that he couldn’t win her back.
But even then, he refused to let go.

But it was too late.
Nick persisted for an entire year. He tried everything he could to win Mia back, but in the end, all he received was an invitation to Mia and James’s wedding.
“I’ve truly lost you, haven’t I?” Nick gave a bitter smile. He already knew the answer, but hearing it felt like a knife to his heart.
Mia smiled calmly. “Nick, you lost me a long time ago.”
Love that comes too late means nothing
As Mia had once said, when she needed him, he was never there.
Now that she no longer needed him, his presence was meaningless.
A year and a half ago, Mia had already taken back all the love she once gave him.
Her life no longer included him, and she didn’t want him by her side any longer.
Nick, however, couldn’t let go..
Watching Mia walk into the church, radiant in her wedding gown and arm–in–arm with James, he knew he would never recover from this loss.
He had lost the one person who loved him most in this world.
And no matter what he did, he could never get her back.
He would spend the rest of his life longing for her, trapped in regret and pain.
She was gone, and now there was no one left who could help him overcome the heartbreak of losing her.
But he deserved no sympathy.
This was all his doing.
He had only himself to blame.
