you tell us Bethany’s pregnant? When did you two even get your marriage. certificate? Mitchell, I can’t believe you didn’t see through her cheap tricks. She’s been manipulating you the whole time. Have you found Heather?”
Mitchell’s voice was raw, hoarse from calling out for Heather earlier, so much so that he could barely speak.
After a long pause, he muttered, his voice distant and broken, “Heather’s gone…”

Vanessa’s voice came through the phone, full of frustration. “She can’t stand betrayal. No wonder she made me wait until the wedding day to give her the bracelet. She must’ve figured out what was going on with you and Bethany…”
Mitchell couldn’t process anything else Vanessa said. The only words that echoed in his mind were, “She must’ve figured out what was going on with you and Bethany…“.
Suddenly, Mitchell remembered the day Heather had agreed to date him, when she had warned him.
“Mitchell, I can only accept undivided love. If you ever stop loving me, let’s part ways amicably. But if you betray me, I will make sure you never find me again.”
Vanessa’s words and Heather’s warning from that day kept repeating in Mitchell’s mind, driving him to the edge of madness.
Heather had left because she found out about him and Bethany.
As Mitchell finally calmed down and thought it through, he realized how many cracks there were in his relationship with Bethany.
