Chapter 102
In an instant, Harvey’s entire face was flushed so red, it looked like it could start bleeding
“Shit!” he cursed, disregarding his manners.
He got out of bed as if he was escaping and rushed into the bathroom. The sound of rushing water drowned out his slightly calmed breaths.
He was no longer a boy. He thought he had long outgrown such impulses. After all, his son was old enough to run errands on his own. Yet here he was, waking up to a mess on his sheets.
Harvey closed his eyes as the water cascaded over his tense face. The dream had been bizarre and surreal. He didn’t want to think about it anymore. Was he really that desperate for a woman?
He had dreamed of Luna, yet the face he saw was Elara’s. Harvey let out a cold laugh. How ridiculous.
The ALI Math Competition finals had arrived in the blink of an eye. ALI Group had set up a small exam venue at Capitol University and was live streaming the entire competition online. Since netizens had questioned the competition’s fairness, they would now see for themselves what true fairness was.
Besides, from a long–term business perspective, ALI Group was also using the livestream’s popularity to expand the competition’s influence.
Elara stepped out of Finnegan’s off–road vehicle. She had just accompanied him to drop Bambi off at school. Finnegan then drove her to Capitol University.
The grand marble entrance of Capitol University stood before her. Elara couldn’t help but feel a wave of emotion. When she had left campus, she never thought she would return.
“There’s no need to see me off,” she said, turning back to wave at Finnegan. She then turned around and took a deep breath. Divorce was amazing.
Elara strode into Capitol University..
Finnegan remained where he was, standing tall and motionless like a statue as he watched Elara’s figure.
Today, she was dressed in a long, nude–colored trench coat over a black, knee–length skirt, paired with ankle boots. A wool scarf draped over her shoulders, and atop her head sat a felt beret.
She carried a laptop bag in one hand. As she walked among the university students, she looked to be in high spirits.
Finnegan crossed his arms over his chest. He wore only a light gray short–sleeved shirt and showed no sign of feeling cold. His long, powerful legs were wrapped in gray camouflage cargo pants.
His physique was massive, with distinct muscles showing from under the fabric of his clothes. His strong figure drew quite a few gazes.
A low–profile black Cayenne was parked quietly by the roadside about 13 feet behind him. The car window rolled down, revealing Theodore’s handsome features. The winter sunlight fell upon the tips of his long lashes.
He placed a hand on the window as he gazed toward the entrance of Capitol University.
Elara had no idea that someone else was also watching her as she entered the campus. She headed toward the STEM building and saw a large crowd gathered in the open–air section beneath it from afar.
A male student noticed Elara approaching and immediately patted Wayne on the shoulder. Wayne turned his head

and saw Elara walking over. The fallen leaves beneath her feet formed a golden carpet. Her delicate features were as exquisite as a painting, and her face was illuminated by the sunlight.
Wayne snapped back to his senses. There was a hint of sadness in his eyes.
At that moment, Harold walked out from between them and greeted Elara enthusiastically.
“Elara, long time no see,” Harold greeted her with familiarity. However, in the seven years Elara had been married to Harvey, she could count on her fingers the number of times they had spoken.
Harold’s appearance was rather plain. He wore silver–rimmed glasses and had a buzz cut, giving off the look of an honest and dependable person.
He smiled and was kind to Elara. “Don’t be nervous, Elara. The examination room is covered with cameras, and multiple officials will be monitoring the venue. Just treat it like a regular exam.”
