Chapter 103
Harold paused for a moment before continuing, “I really admire you. You’ve left school for five years, yet you still have the courage to participate in the toughest competition in the county.”
Elara smiled, but her dark eyes remained as cold as a still lake,
“I admire you as well. In just five years, you’ve risen smoothly through the ranks to become a candidate for dean.”
Harold shook his head modestly. “Not at all. I have no real interest in the race for dean. My name is just there to fill the list.”
“Your journey ahead may not be as smooth as before,” Elara reminded him.
Facing the man who had stolen her academic achievements, Elara was far less composed than she appeared on the surface. She wanted to tear him to pieces.
One day, she would make him erase every word that did not belong to him in front of the judiciary.
Harold looked at Elara with an expression of innocent surprise. He loved using that look–staring straight at people, projecting an image of pure harmlessness. He opened his mouth as if to speak, but Elara walked past him.
She was as cold as a sharp, gleaming blade. It made others hesitate to get too close.
Harold turned his head, watching her slender figure through the thick lenses of his glasses.
When her silhouette finally disappeared from sight, he pushed his glasses up with his index finger and said, What a tease. I just want to rip that skirt off, press her against the staircase, and make her screams echo through the entire hallway.”
The dozen or so hot–blooded men instantly let their imaginations run wild.
Wayne scoffed. “Elara does look pretty good, but she has two kids. She’s probably so loose you could fit a whole hand in.”
The others burst into raucous laughter.
At Capitol’s most prestigious university, they were the pride of their hometowns–the brightest of their generation, the chosen elite. They were smarter than most and had promising futures ahead of them.
However, the illusion of brilliance shattered at that moment, revealing the rot and decay beneath.
“Wayne, you don’t understand the appeal of married women. The moment you unbuckle your belt, they already know how to arch their backs. Elara must have something special if my brother–in–law has no interest in any of the wild things outside.”
Wayne let out a snort.
“ALI Group and the entire media industry have promoted her to the point where everyone knows her. Once the final results are out, she’ll come crashing down from her pedestal, utterly shattered! When that time comes, we’ll pull some strings and let you experience firsthand just how amazing Elara really is.”
Harold adjusted the expensive suit jacket on his shoulders and resumed his usual mild–mannered look. However, under the thick lenses of his glasses, his gaze twisted into something grotesque and inhumane,
Inside the exam hall, more than a dozen cameras were trained on each participant. In an effort to create a celebrity effect, ALI Group had even set up dedicated live streams for each contestant.

As soon as the broadcast started, over a hundred thousand viewers flooded into Elara’s personal stream.
“Elara’s face? I’d give it a 97 out of 100. Don’t ask me why, but when I saw her at a red light while riding my motorcycle, I took off my helmet just to get a clearer look. Got three points deducted for that.”
“She’s so gorgeous! God damn! Why is my screen so dirty? Let me lick it clean!”
“Casting a spell for you! Abracadabra, the gold medal belongs to Elara!”
