In the Fisher Corp president’s office, Cyrus held his iPad at his side after finishing his report. After a moment of hesitation, he finally couldn’t resist bringing it up to Harvey.
“Mr. Fisher, today is… Today is the final day of the ALI Group Mathematics Competition.”
Harvey sat in his office chair, having just signed a document. A Montblanc pen worth millions spun lightly between his fingertips.
His sharp, chiseled features showed no trace of emotion. “You’re very concerned about my ex–wife.”
The moment he spoke, a chill ran down Cyrus’s spine. Under Harvey’s pressure, he lowered his head.
“Every year, after the ALI Mathematics Competition, Fisher Corp extends offers to the top 20 finalists. If Elara happens to make it into the top 20…”
Cyrus dared not imagine what it would be like for Elara and Harvey to work together. If Elara really did enter Fisher Corp, he would have to warn the entire company in advance to ensure no one accidentally offended her.
Harvey’s tone was indifferent as he said, “If she makes it into the top 20, it proves that she has some skill, so send her an offer. As for whether she smoothly gets into Fisher Corp… that depends on my mood at the time.”
There was a mocking look in his eyes. When Elara was divorcing him, she signed up for the ALI Mathematics Competition. This showed that she desperately wanted to prove herself to him.
She wanted him to recognize her worth and was silently praying that her husband and son would continue loving her.
At that thought, a cruel look flashed in his eye. Once he took away her status as his wife, he would never look at her again no matter what she did to assert her existence before him.
Harvey’s phone rang.
He glanced at the screen. It was Ethel. He furrowed his brows but still chose to answer.
The next moment, her voice could be heard.
“Harvey, did you look at the profiles of those eligible heiresses I sent you? Is there anyone you like? If so, we can arrange meetings with them this weekend!”
Ever since his divorce from Elara had been finalized, Ethel had been eagerly setting him up on blind dates.
She had sent him multiple profiles of wealthy heiresses, all neatly placed in his inbox. Harvey hadn’t even clicked on them.
“Mom, mind your own business and stop bothering me with this nonsense.”
His tone was cold and distant, but Ethel had no intention of backing down. She immediately shot back, “I’m not just doing this for you–it’s for Beau too! He’s only five years old. Are you really planning to let him grow up without a mother?”
Her son was utterly heartless.
“I’m busy. I’m hanging up.”
Before he could end the call, Ethel urgently asked, “Harvey, who is Luna? Is she from Capitol?”
Harvey was stunned momentarily. There was a strange glint in his eyes. He recalled that amazing dream he had.

His sharp Adam’s apple, accentuated by his neatly buttoned collar, bobbed slightly.
“Beau mentioned Luna to you?” He immediately guessed how Ethel had learned that name.
“Beau told me he wants Luna to be his mother!”
Ethel was tense.
Her voice filled with disapproval as she continued, “Is Luna a foreigner? Beau also said she’s some kind of race car driver! Goodness! Why is he always drawn to these questionable people? Can’t you keep a closer watch on your son? Is racing even a proper profession?
“Luna isn’t some wealthy heiress, right? Harvey, you need to keep Beau away from her! My grandson cannot be led astray!”
Harvey was unhappy.
“Mom, did you time travel here from the Victorian era?”
“Huh?” Ethel didn’t understand what he meant.
“You can place your brain in a museum. It’s also an antique”
Ethel finally got it. Harvey was calling her old–fashioned.
Her heart pounded. So, Luna held a special place in Harvey’s heart.
