Chapter 118
Elara said with a chuckle, “A fully grown wild boar is huge and strong. If one really shows up here, I want you to run away.”
“I’ll run away with you on my back!” said Merida.
Soon, Finnegan reached the middle of the hill, and he wasn’t even tired at all. When he looked up at the stairs, he noticed a tall figure standing there.
He slowly approached the man in front of him. When they were standing next to each other, Theodore turned around and saw Finnegan. “Oh! What a coincidence!“.
Theodore had a headband around his forehead, and his hair was combed to the back, making him look younger than usual. As his face was covered in sweat, his flawless skin was shining in the light.
“I heard that the first person to make a wish in the morning would have their wish granted. Are you here to make a wish as well, Lt. Lloyd?”
When Finnegan heard Theodore calling him by his old title in the army, his gaze darkened a little. It seemed to him that Theodore knew him a lot.
Finnegan smiled a little and just answered with a hum. However, he was curious as well. After all, a man like Theodore could have anything he wanted in life. So, Finnegan wondered what Theodore could possibly want to wish for.
“What are you going to wish for, Mr. Snap?”
“Marriage.”
Right after hearing that, Finnegan started walking faster! When Theodore noticed what was happening, he started chasing after Finnegan with his eyes lit up.
When Theodore finally caught up with Finnegan, he was still in the mood for a chat. “What about you, Lt. Lloyd? What are you wishing for?”
Finnegan chuckled coldly and said provokingly, “I’m wishing for a marriage as well!”
After he said that, the two men stared at each other competitively. Suddenly, they started racing up the stairs like two madmen!
A priest, Percy Olsen, was sitting at the entrance of the church. Suddenly, a strong gust of wind blew past him, and he didn’t feel tired anymore. Percy looked inside the building and noticed the two men were already far away from him.
“Hey!” the priest yelled. However, he knew that the two men couldn’t hear him anymore. So, he mumbled,‘ We’re not accepting guests today…”
After Finnegan and Theodore entered the church, they headed straight to the altar to say their prayers. However, when they reached their destination, they realized someone was already there. They stood there in disbelief, wondering who would be there earlier than them.
They took a closer look at the person in front of them and realized it was a noble–looking man dressed entirely in black. The man was staring back at Finnegan and Theodore with one hand in his pocket.
Finnegan looked at the man with a solemn look, wondering if he had already made his wish. Meanwhile, Theodore just showed a fake smile and said, “Good morning, Mr. Fisher.”

However, Harvey just responded with a cold reply, “The church will only open to the public this afternoon. Please leave now, you two.”
It seemed like the Fisher family had booked the entire church for the morning. However, Theodore didn’t care about what Harvey had said at all.
“How did you come here, Mr. Fisher?” He noticed that Harvey was wearing custom–made leather shoes, and it didn’t seem like the latter reached the church on foot.
Meanwhile, Harvey didn’t feel the need to answer the question at all. So, Theodore just came up with an answer by himself. “You took a car here, didn’t you? In that case, your wish isn’t going to come through.”
After saying that, he walked past Harvey and said his prayers. Seeing what was happening, Finnegan did the same as well. The two of them had their backs facing Harvey while they sincerely made their wishes. As for Harvey, he looked extremely gloomy.
“Mr. Snapp! Why are you disturbing Harvey? He’s here because he misses Dawn!”
When Niamh approached Harvey from behind, she saw what happened, and she yelled at the two men angrily. However, Theodore just grabbed the offerings Harvey had brought and tossed them into the trash can. Then, he turned around and looked at Harvey.
Although one person was standing taller than the other, it felt like they were equally domineering. “The dead can’t be brought back, so we should save our prayers for the people who are still around!”
Harvey scoffed in disdain and asked, “So, what did you wish for, Mr. Snapp?”
“I wished for her to be loved and not be bullied anymore.”
