Theodore stood tall and casual. He was smiling brightly as watched Elara being surrounded by flowers and applause. There were a few professors standing in front of her, wanting to talk to her. So, when she returned to her senses, she hurriedly answered those big shots in the academic world.
While she talked to the people surrounding them, she slowly walked past everyone and made her way to Theodore. Tobias was there as well. When she finally reached them, she took a deep breath and said, “I’m back, Dr. Snappl”
Tobias put his hands behind his back and held his breath. He was clearly keeping his emotions under control. Hmph! I don’t need you back here!” he said with pursed lip
Elara knew he was still mad that Harold had stolen all the hard work she had accomplished.
“Dr. Snapp…” Just as she was about to say something, he said to her, “Just keep on working hard with courage. Show me if you can still shine bright like you used to!” Hearing that, Elara felt warm inside. Although Tobias held a grudge against her, he still hoped she could excel in her life.
After that, a few more professors approached her. “Ms. Jones, here’s a recommendation letter to join the 17th annual Technology Creation and Sharing Summit. On behalf of Capitol University, we would like to invite you to the event.”
Elara’s eyes widened slightly when she heard that. She was planning on using her expertise to make some money, and attending the summit was the best way to do that! Suddenly, the other professors said, “You sure are quick, Quentin!”
Then, another professor handed Elara the same recommendation letter. “Ms. Jones, I would like to invite you to the summit on behalf of Hawke University as well. Here’s the recommendation letter we’ve prepared for you, and we hope you can join us using the letter.”
Then, Quentin Kent, the professor from Capitol University, immediately pushed the letter away.
“Hey! I was the one who gave her a recommendation letter first! If she’s joining the summit, she’ll be doing it with our letter!”
While the two professors argued, some other professors from various schools started handing Elara their recommendation letters as well. With more than ten letters in front of her, Elara didn’t know whose to accept at
all.
Suddenly, a slender hand appeared in front of her and blocked everyone away from Elara. She turned around and saw Theodore standing next to her. Then, he spoke casually, and everyone around them had to stop talking and listen to him.
“Elara has already received an invitation to the summit.”
After saying that, he took out an invitation and handed it to Elara. It had the name of the summit etched on the letter in gold words. When Elara opened the invitation and took a look at it, she realized it really was a direct invitation for her!
An invitation like that would only appear in a great CEO’s hands like Harvey’s. So, she asked, “This invitation belongs to you, doesn’t it?”
“Your name is written on there, so that’s your very own invitation to the summit,” he answered with a smile.
Then, she looked into his eyes with a clear gaze. “How do you know so much? When did the summit’s organizers start noticing me?”

Theodore placed his hands behind his back and leaned closer to her. His dashing looks kept getting closer to her face, and his eyes were shining brightly. As Elara breathed, he could smell his tempting scent.
“That’s because I’ve been keeping my eye on you.”
Theodore was looking at her with so much sincerity that it felt like he was going to show her his literal heart at any moment. Elara placed the invitation on her chest to cover the sound of her racing heartbeat.
“Ahem!” Tobias cleared his throat next to Theodore, and he was so loud that it sounded like he was about to cough out his lungs.
