Elara had cut off Harvey’s call, and everyone in the meeting room went dead silent! Harvey sat there coldly, wondering when she was going to stop throwing a tantrum and making things difficult for him. He suppressed the raging emotions that were stirting behind his cold dark eyes before calling her again.
This time, an automated voice greeted him instead. “The mber you’re calling is unreachable at the moment. Please try again later.”
Elara had blocked him again! Harvey took a deep breath and suddenly looked up at the shareholders looking back at him. “Let me call her instead,” said Leonard, and everyone turned their gaze to him.

Leonard took out his phone and made the call before putting it on speaker. As the shareholders listened to the dial tone, they instinctively held their breaths,
Soon, the call was answere! “Prof. Fisher, did you know I won the competition?” Elara was on cloud nine when she spoke on the other side of the call. Harvey was stunned when he heard that as he had never heard her being so excited before.
“Congratulations,” answered Leonard, and no one could tell what he was feeling inside.
“Elara!” Harvey yelled out her name gloomily. Do you know you hung up on me just now?”
Elara went silent for a few seconds before saying, “Prof. Fisher, about what I’ve talked to you about previously, I hope you can consider it.”
Harvey was stunned, and his face fell drastically. Elara was purposely ignoring him! So, he figured he had to say something to pacify her first. With that thought in mind, he recomposed himself and said, “Let’s grab dinner together, Elara.”
Harvey never thought he would be the first one to compromise one day. That was his first time being so magnanimous after they had gotten the divorce.
Then, Elara said, “Prof. Fisher, would you like to join me for dinner?”
Harvey found it amusing as he thought Elara wanted someone else to join them because she was shy.
He thought she was afraid of meeting him alone, fearing him because she loved him too much in the past. He figured that if they grabbed dinner together by themselves, she was worried she wouldn’t be able to walk away from him again.
So, he decided to play along with her. “Uncle Leonard will be joining us too…”
“Alright, see you tonight.” Elara agreed to it right away. It was incredible to invite Leonard to a meal, and she was just worried that he would change his plans suddenly,
Harvey crossed his arms and smiled as he felt great. He thought Elara couldn’t wait to see him, and it seemed to him that she was really looking forward to their meeting
Meanwhile, the shareholders at the scene let out a breath of relief as well.
“Since Ms. Jones has agreed to join Mr. Fisher for dinner, it shows that she’s interested in joining us!”
“Keep it up, Harvey! Even if you two can’t be husband and wife, you can still be colleagues.”
Then, Harvey said to Leonard respectfully, “Uncle Leonard, Elara’s being insensible. I can meet her by myself.”
