On the second floor, inside the lavishly decorated conference room, Elara greeted every academic leader and senior official present.
As soon as she took her seat, several influential figures extended olive branches to her.
Elara looked at Leonard. Her lashes were curled, and her eyes were bright.
“Ideally, I’d like to join Dragonheart.”
Everyone was stunned. They could tell she had a very clear goal, as the moment she came up, she decided to challenge the strongest boss. A few bigwigs present were keen to see whether Leonard would accept her into Dragonheart.
Elara reached into her bag and pulled out a document before standing up and walking over to Leonard.
“This is my stepping stone to Dragonheart.”
Leonard took the document from her hand, a look of surprise flashing in his eyes,
“Joss Tech’s prospectus?”
He wanted to know why Elara was handing him the Joss family’s company prospectus. What was she trying to say? “Dragonheart’s research requires a variety of heavy metals, but many of these experiments are conducted in secrecy. My father’s company controls multiple heavy metal resources.”
Leonard handed the document back to Elara. “I don’t trust your father’s company.”
Elara didn’t take it back. Instead, she smiled and asked, “Then what if Joss Tech became my company?”
Leonard looked up at her. His calm and far–reaching gaze could see through people at a glance.
Elara continued, “Joss Tech’s profits have been declining year after year. My father is already preparing to sell its core technology to Ohm Technologies. However, I believe Ohm Technologies is after more than just Joss Tech’s technology.”
Elara told him solemnly, “I will not let Joss Tech fall into foreign hands!”
Leonard’s expression remained indifferent. He asked calmly and casually, “Acquire full ownership of Joss Tech within two months.”
The gathered elites all gasped in shock.
“That’s an impossible demand!”
They had already thoroughly investigated Elara’s background.
“Ms. Jones only recently finalized her divorce, and I recall that she only returned to the Jones family at eighteen. She holds no shares in Joss Tech. Acquiring ownership of Joss Tech in two months is easier said than done!”
Christopher added, “Besides, Abel has already decided to sell Joss Tech to Ohm. That alone proves he has no intention of passing the company down to his children.”
Elara shook her head at Leonard. “Two months won’t do.”
Leonard immediately tossed the document onto the table. “If you can’t do it, then that just proves your inefficiency and incompetence.”

Lucas stroked his chin thoughtfully. “If Ms. Jones can acquire Joss Tech within a month, I would like to invite Ms. Jones to become the Chief Technology Consultant for Tok Group, Salary, stock options, benefits–you may name your price!”
“Lucas, don’t you dare try to steal her from me! Ms. Jones, if you manage to take over Joss Tech, I sincerely hope you’ll consider teaching at Capitol University. I can provide whatever kind of laboratory or research team you want!” yelled Christopher.
A government official, who was clearly enjoying the spectacle, stoked the fire further.
“Leading your own team is far more cheerful than working under Prof. Fisher. Ms. Jones, your future is limitless. The honors you achieve will be yours alone wouldn’t that be even better?”
