Chapter 173
The teachers and staff approached them.
“Are you Beau’s father? What a rare sight! This is your first time attending one of Beau’s parent–child events, Isn’t it?”
Harvey’s expression remained as cold and distant as ever. He simply gave the teacher a silent nod. Sensing the sheer unapproachability radiating from him, the teacher shivered slightly.
Niamh, on the other hand, grinned smugly. She announced while pointing at Harvey’s face, “He didn’t even want to come. I had to storm into the Fisher residence first thing this morning and drag him out of bed.”
Of course, she exaggerated. She had indeed gone to the Fisher residence early in the morning, intending to barge straight into Harvey’s room–only to find that he had locked the door.
She had banged on it like a madwoman and waited forever before Harvey finally emerged, already washed up and dressed.
Meanwhile, Beau puffed out his small chest proudly. To him, only Niamh had the ability to force his father to join a parent–child event. If not for her, Harvey never would have come.
Every year, only that dramatic mom of his showed up, making him constantly anxious that Elara might not take first place in the competitions.
“Ms. Jones is attending the parent–child event as Mr. Fisher’s friend, correct?”
Bridget, of course, recognized Niamh. This troublemaker had stirred up chaos at school multiple times, and she had never liked her. The moment she saw Niamh, she had a sinking feeling that today’s event was bound to be another disaster.
Straightening her posture, Bridget spoke firmly. “Our parent–child event has clear rules. Any attending guardian, even if not a biological parent, must be a relative of the child.
“This ensures the child feels a sense of belonging during the event. A parent’s role is irreplaceable.
“If just anyone could take their place, children might develop feelings of inadequacy and negative emotions, which could harm their psychological well–being.”
Niamh’s expression instantly darkened. “I am Beau’s daddy too!!!
Her eyes carried a warning glare as she stared down Bridget
Bridget took a deep breath after being snapped at, then turned to Harvey. “Mr. Fisher, since I’ve never been able to reach you directly, now that you’re here, there’s something important I need to discuss with you.”
Niamh sneered. “Watch yourself. You’re just a teacher, so don’t overstep your place by showing too much concem for a student’s parent.”
Bridget simply ignored her and spoke seriously to Harvey. Mr. Fisher, Beau is only five years old. This is a critical stage in his mental and emotional development.
“At this age, it is essential for him to receive proper discipline and guidance to avoid confusing other students with whatever he’s being taught at home.
“Recently, Beau has been telling his female classmates to refer to themselves as bros and encouraging them to act like boys instead of girls. He even convinced an entire group of girls to use the boys‘ restroom.
“I informed The Fishers‘ butler about these incidents, but I don’t know if the message ever reached you.”
