“Mommy, sit in the middle! I’ll take the back! I won’t let those alpaca thieves get near you!” said Merida.
The three of them climbed onto the tandem bike, each taking their designated seat.
Meanwhile, on the other side, Niamh was also assigning ros “Harvey, you take the front and just pedal as fast as you can. Beau, you protect the carrots, and I’ll handle the alpacas.”

Harvey, however, wasn’t convinced. Making his son carry a full bucket of vegetables didn’t seem like the smartest plan. He could already predict that Heau wouldn’t be able to hold onto them for long
But before he could object, Beau had already rushed off to grab a bucket filled with carrots and cabbage leaves. Grinning like a little warrior, he declared, “I’ll protect these carrots no matter what!”
Considering that Niamh, as an adult, was more suited to warding off the alpacas, Harvey reluctantly agreed to the
arrangement.
Hence, Harvey took the front seat, Beau sat in the middle, and Niamh settled in at the back. Just as they were about to set off, Finnegan, Elara, and Merida took off on their own bike..
Beau spotted them and immediately shouted, “Dad, hurry! Overtake them!”
Harvey’s gaze followed the silhouettes of Elara and Merida ahead. Seated in front of them, Finnegan towered over them like an unshakable mountain while exuding a sense of security.
He wondered if Elara brought Finnegan here just to show off? Did she really think Finnegan could win against him?
A mocking smile curled at his lips. Finnegan might have extraordinary physical strength, but this competition wasn’t just about endurance.
After riding about 0.3 miles into the park, the alpaca squad finally appeared. A herd of them rushed toward the cyclists like they had spotted a delivery truck full of food.
Elara immediately leaned down to use her upper body to shield the bucket, sealing it off completely. The alpacas, drawn by the brightly colored bucket, knew there was food inside. Unable to reach it, they turned their attention to Elara, snapping their teeth and trying to bite at her clothes
“Get away!” The moment the alpacas tried to get close to Elara, Merida shoved their heads aside without
hesitation.
“Mommy, don’t be scared! I’ll protect you!
Uncle Finn! Hurry! Speed up! They’re catching up!”
Merida shouted urgently, and Finnegan’s legs pumped the pedals so fast they blurred into motion.
“Aaahh! Stay away! Waah!” Beau’s terrified screams echoed from a distance.
A small group of alpacas had swarmed him. Their heads darted in from all sides, snatching up carrots and cabbage. leaves from the plastic bucket in his arms.

Bean was now both scared and furlous. “Give me back my carrots!”
However, his desperate pleas were useless. He could only witch in horror as the number of vegetables in his bucket dwindled before his eyes,
His lips quivered, and he was on the verge of tears. He then turned around and shouted at Niamh. “Niamh! Hurry and protect me!”
At the same time, he urged Harvey. “Dad! Faster! Hurry up!
Several alpacas chased him relentlessly, flanking him from both sides. But Niamh, the one who was supposed to protect him, had completely forgotten about Beaut.
She was too busy waving her arms wildly, trying to fend off the alpacas swarming her own space, all while pedaling like a mad woman to escape the scene as fast as possible.
Meanwhile, Beau screamed all the way as he was getting covered in more and more alpaca spit. Niamh didn’t fare any better as she had already been spat on multiple times. As she opened her mouth to curse, another spray of alpaca spit landed right on her face.
Her eyes instantly blurred, forcing her to shut them tightly while pedaling frantically. Through the chaos, she heard Merida’s voice shouting, “Uncle Finn! Faster! The alpacas are after us!”
Hearing that Merida was also under attack immediately made Niamh and Beau feel much better. For all they knew, Merida had probably lost all of her carrots by now too.
Just then, Harvey saw two alpacas closing in from both sides, running alongside Merida. They were ready to trap her in between.
Merida was in danger!
