Chapter 178
Niamh led Beau to a quiet spot and sat down. Luckily, she had brought a change of clothes. She took off her apar spit–stained jacket with a look of pure disgust, tossing it ade like trash.
As she focused on changing into fresh clothes, Beau reminded her, “My clothes are dirty too.”
Niamh didn’t even budge. She simply tilted her chin toward her bag and said, “There are clean clothes in the beg
Beau puffed up his cheeks, muttering in frustration. “Do I live to change by myself?”
Back home, he never had to dress himself as the housekeepers handled everything. Even outside, someone close to him–like Niamh to help him.

However, Niamh was too busy. She furiously wiped her hair with a wet tissue, feeling incredibly irritated. All she wanted was a proper shower to wash the filth off her, so she had no time to deal with Beau
Beau glanced around and saw all the other kids had their parents fussing over them. There were mothers wiping away sweat, handing out water bottles, and helping them change into fresh clothes.
Then, he spotted Elara, who was carefully redoing Merida’s hair. A strange mix of emotions stirred in his chest.
Last year, he had never worried about these things at the same event. Whenever he sweated from playing. Elara would always be there to change his clothes. She’d even place a cooling towel on his back to make sure he was
comfortable.
If he felt thirsty, he wouldn’t even need to ask. Elara would instinctively bring a water bottle to his lips. Meanwhile, Niamh didn’t care about any of that.
Beau lowered his head, staring at his filthy, sweat–soaked clothes and dirt–streaked shoes. When Elara was around, he was always the cleanest kid. Niamh had no idea how to take care of him.
“Daddy, can you help me change? I’m all sweaty.” Beau turned to Harvey, hoping for some relief.
The response he got from Harvey was, “Change by yourself.”
Beau had always been afraid of his father. After Harvey coldly rejected him, he shrunk his neck in defeat and resigned himself to pulling out a fresh change of clothes from his backpack
Meanwhile, Niamh, who was now freshly cleaned up, stretched lazily and called out, “Beau, open me a bag of chips.”
Beau almost snapped at her, wanting to say, “Can’t you open it yourself?”
But then he remembered their plan. Before the event, when he invited Niamh to join him, they had strategized about how to frustrate his pretentious mother.
Niamh had told him that if he wanted to rattle Elara, he had to make a show of being incredibly attentive to her by fulfilling her every request without hesitation. That was because he had never treated Elara this way before.
Seeing her son dote on Niamh, obeying her every word, would surely make Elara feel frustrated and upset. Now that Niamh had put the plan into motion, Beau dropped everything. He didn’t even bother to change hus clothes and immediately grabbed a bag of chips from the snack bag.
He tore it open and handed it over. Niamh crunched on the chips, relishing the attention, when she noticed the curious gazes of the other parents drifting toward her.
“Beau, I want milk.”

Without hesitation, Beau dug through the snack bag again. te pulled out a small pack of milk, unwrapped the straw, and inserted it before handing it to her.
Niamh lounged on her folding chair without a care, sipping contentedly on her beverage. Many parents exchanged surprised glances, watching as the proud young heir of the Fisher family catered to Niamh’s every whim.
Rosalie couldn’t help herself. She turned to Niamh to say, “Wow, Ms. Niamh, you must have some real talent! You actually managed to tame the Fishers‘ little tyrant!”
She raised her voice deliberately, making sure Elara could bear. Then, she glanced toward Elara, hoping to catch even the slightest flicker of discomfort on her face. If she did, Rosalie knew she’d be laughing about it for days.

However, Niamh remained composed, as if she had been spoiled by Beau her entire life. She casually hand, responding nonchalantly, “Bean just likes to pamper me.”
The intrigued stares from the surrounding parents only fueled Niamh’s amusernent. She grinned and raised her voice again, calling out to Beau, “I want some jerky now, Beau.”
