Chapter 183
Harvey vowed to never lose to Finnegan!
“I feel sick!” Beau groaned.
Niamh held him in her arms, but she wasn’t doing it firmly like Elara. The constant bouncing up and down made Bean dizzy and nauseous.
His little head swayed from side to skle in Niamh’s embrace Then, the next second later, he threw up loudly!
“Ack!” He lowered his head and vomited all over Niamh’s thighs.
Niamh let out a piercing scream and jumped off Harvey’s back in horror. Panicking, she set Beau down and looked at the mess on her pants, her face twisting in disgust.
“Why’d you throw up on me?” she shrieked in outrage.
Harvey, who was still holding himself up on the yoga mat, froze. His entire face darkened. For a moment, he wanted to yell “What the hell are you doing?” at Niamh.
Just then, the referee raised his hand and announced, “Merida’s family wins first place!”
Harvey sat back on the mat as his pale lips pressed into a thin line. He forced himself to steady his breathing. though his chest continued to rise and fall.
Meanwhile, Finnegan came to a smooth stop. Elara held onto Merida as she climbed off his back.
“Uncle Finn! You were amazing!” Merida cheered.
Finnegan got up effortlessly and dusted his palms off with a few light pats.
Elara turned to him. “Tired?”
He shook his head. “Not at all.”
Lowering his voice, he added, “I could’ve done it with one hand while carrying you both.”
He had simply refrained from showing off in front of so many people as Finnegan preferred to keep a low profile. The teacher then handed out the scorecards to Beau and Merida,
Merida had earned 13 points. Although Harvey placed second in the push–up challenge, earning five points, Beau had lost three points for dropping the bucket. Even with the extra point from the added cushion, his final score was just three points.
Seeing his name still at the bottom of the rankings, Beau’s entire face fell.
Beau waved his little hands in frustration, throwing a tantrum. “Back when only Mommy took me and Merida to the parent–child event, she still won first place!
“Daddy, Niamh! How are you both even worse than that fake, pretentious mommy?”
His voice brimmed with indignation. He had never suffered such humiliation before. For the first ti to doubt Harvey and Niamh’s abilities.
he began
Harvey’s face remained cold as he retorted, “You’re the one who lost the bucket with the carrots and cabbages in the first round!”
Beau pouted, his eyebrows scrunching into an unhappy curve.

“Daddy refused to do the kangaroo jump and got zero point!” he snapped back, pointing the blame right back at Harvey
Harvey let out a sharp scoff. “I warned points in the push up challenge. If you hadn’t thrown up…”
Bean felt utterly unlucky. His eyes turned red with frustration as he shouted, “I’m never doing a parent–child event with you two again!”
Niamh noticed the storm brewing on Harvey’s face, his dark expression signaling the eruption of a bad mood. She pickdy tried to change the subject. “Let’s go exchange our points for lunch.”
The three of them arrived at the food exchange station, only to realize that the school only provided fresh Ingredients. They collected oats and vegetables, but everything still needed to be cooked from scratch.
“What! We have to cook it ourselves? This setup is such a m!” Niamh complained loudly.
The teacher, trying to calm her down, explained, “We designed this activity so the children can experience outdoor cooking. It makes the meal more rewarding and enjoyable when they cook with their parents.”
Niamh turned to Halvey. “Do you know how to cook?”
Harvey did know how to make some Melcinian dishes, but with only three points, they didn’t have enough to exchange for the ingredients he would need.
He simply said without hesitation, “No.”
