Elara opened her arms toward Xavier. “Xav, our fates are in our own hands. I won’t repeat the same mistakes, and I won’t let down your trust in me.”

Elara turned to Leonard and said, “I won’t let down your trest in me either.”
Those who truly cared for someone couldn’t bear to see the suffer even the slightest loss. They would rather suppress their own feelings than see that person confined. they wished only for them to be as free as the wind, shining as brilliantly as the stars in the vast sky.
Elara held Xavier’s hand as they returned to the dining room. Seeing that Xavier was finally willing to eat, Merida personally picked food for him.
After dinner, Leonard reminded her, “Do you remember our bet? You have less than three weeks left.”
He looked at her and asked, “When do you plan to take action against Joss Tech?”
Elara tilted her head slightly as a faint smile played on her lips. She thought for a moment before answering, Hmm… Maybe in a week or two.”
Leonard studied her with quiet intensity. He knew she had her own plans, and judging by her unwavering confidence, Joss Tech already seemed like prey caught in her net.
But her relationship with Abel had soured to an extreme. There was no way Abel would willingly hand over Joss Tech to her.
“You’re certain you’ll have complete control over Joss Tech in two weeks?” Leonard asked again.
Before Elara could respond, her phone rang. She glanced at the screen and then turned it toward Leonard. The caller was Harold.
Elara answered the call and put it on speaker. Harold’s excited voice immediately filled the room. “Elara, where are you right now? I have great news to share!”
Elara replied calmly, “I’m at Prof. Fisher’s residence. Mr. Judd, do you need to meet me in person?”
The moment Harold heard she was with Leonard, any ulterior motives he had immediately vanished.” originally planned to ask Elara to meet him alone.
“Oh, you’re at Prof. Fisher’s…” Harold’s disappointment was clear in his voice.

Harold had long considered ways to get closer to Leonard. If Leonard allowed him to participate in classified national projects, even just picking up the crumbs from his table would be enough to boost Harold’s academic standing

“I wanted to tell you the good news that I’ve already spoken with the higher–ups at Ohm Technologies. They reached out to your father, and he agreed to let you take charge of the acquisition!”

Harold continued enthusiastically, “Elara, you have to make the most of this opportunity! Your company’s acquisition deal is already in its final stages. You may not have much experience, but taking over at this point won’t be difficult at all.
“If you successfully close this acquisition and step into Ohm Technologies with that accomplishment under your belt, you’ll be entering at a high position!”
Elara responded smoothly, “I understand. Mr. Judd, I really appreciate your help this time.”
Harold was pleased. Just one word of gratitude from Elara inflated his ego.
“Oh, it was nothing. This is just a small favor! There’s no need to be so polite with me!”
Leonard’s eyes darkened slightly. A project changing hands at the final stage of an acquisition only meant one thing–Ohm Technologies was letting Elara step in at the list moment because they believed she could bring them even greater value.
