Chapter 227
“Luma! It’s so nice to meet you!” Beau’s clear voice rang out, but the moment he saw the person sitting inside the lounge, he froze.
Elara had just been about to step into the dressing room when her gaze met Beau’s. His excitement vanished instantly. His face stiffened, and he stared at her, dumbfounded.
“Why are you here?”
Behind Niamh and Beau was a swarm of people. A photographer immediately turned the camera lens toward Elara and Lesley.
Seeing so many people blocking the doorway, Lesley panicked slightly and instinctively edged closer to Elara. “Elara, what are you doing in Luna’s lounge?” Niamh’s shock made her voice jump an octave.
Meanwhile, Beau studied Lesley carefully, his eyes widening. “Are you Luna?”
As soon as he spoke, he scratched his head in confusion.
Lesley was wearing an oversized gunmetal–gray tracksuit. Ber tall, lean build, sharp facial features, and extremely short–cropped hair gave off an androgynous look
At first glance, most people assumed she was a young man
Lesley clung to Elara’s sleeve and shook her head not Luna
Niamh narrowed her eyes, scrutinizing the person practically glued to Elara’s side. Something about them looked strangely familiar.
Then, it hit her. She had seen this “man” before–seven years ago!
After discovering that Elara was her half–sister, Niamh had personally followed her several times. She even sent people to spy on her. That was when she discovered Elara had a childhood friend.
Not long after, that “man” got lucky, landing a role as Luna’s navigator. When Lesley became famous, “he” left Elara behind and moved abroad, which had delighted Niamh at the time,
Later, when Harvey mentioned he was trying to recruit Lesley as her racing coach, Niamh had felt both disdain and curiosity toward Elara’s so–called “low–born childhood friend“.
Niamh crossed her arms, her gaze flickering between Elara and Lesley with clear malice.
“Elara, you’re unbelievable! This is Luna’s lounge! And here you are, sneaking in to have a secret meeting with Luna’s navigator. How do you expect Luna to focus on the race?”
As soon as she said that, the photographers behind her immediately sensed the potential for some high–society gossip. They all knew Elara was the former Mrs. Fisher. Not long ago, she and the CEO of Fisher Corp had gone through a messy divorce.
And now, here she was, caught red–handed in a racer’s private lounge with a co–driver by none other than her own son! The men standing behind Niamh all wore smug smirks, eager to see how the drama would unfold.
Beau scanned the room, searching for Luna. When he couldn’t find her, his irritation with Elara only grew. “This is Luna’s lounge! Get out!”
He raised his hand, pointing directly at Elara’s face. His furrowed brows and pursed lips were a carbon copy of Harvey’s expression
Chapter 227
Seeing Beau’s face, Lesley suddenly grew serious. “Is he that Fisher bastard’s kid?”
She turned to Elara and asked, “He’s… your son?”
She hesitated to say it because the boy had stormed in, shouting at Elara like she owed him the world.
Elara responded calmly, her tone light but firm. “Not anymore.”
She had only ever told Lesley that she got divorced and left with her daughter, while her son remained with the Fishers. Now, Lesley finally understood why Elara had only taken Merida with her.
Her gaze turned cold. “The ones who need to leave are you two! This is Luna’s lounge. You can’t just barge in without permission!”
Beau planted his hands on his hips and puffed out his tiny chest, looking completely self–assured. “Luna and I are friends!”
Elara chuckled and asked, “Oh? Then do you even know what Luna looks like?”
Beau’s face stiffened for a moment before he pouted.
“I’ll find out today! And I’m going to tell Luna that if she wins first place in the exhibition race, then she’ll be qualified to be my new mommy!”
