Chapter 228
Beau knew his words would be a thorn in Elara’s heart. He intended to use
thorn to stab her.
After speaking, Beau looked at Elara like a victor, waiting to see her show pain or sorrow. After all, the ones closest to you would always know how to hurt you the most
A woman like Elara, who was born in the countryside and utterly clueless about racing, was never worthy of being the mother of the Fishers‘ heir.
“Beau, what if I win first place in the exhibition race?” Niamh narrowed her eyes, unable to hide the growing chill
in her smirk.
Beau’s words had thoroughly annoyed her. She had poured her heart into him and spent so much effort trying win his favor.
Yet at the mere mention of Luna, Beau completely forgot his promise to help her become his new mommy.
After that night at the bottom of Mistvale Ranch’s slope, the strong and invincible image Beau had of Niamh had already crumbled. What kind of strong person would get spanked by their dad?
Even he had only been slapped ten times on the palm by his father. But Niamh? She had been spanked on the butt and was wailing and drooling while apologizing. It was pathetic to watch.
And the next morning, she had outright fainted. Beau had stood there, watching Harvey’s men drag Niamh up from the bottom of the slope. Her face was swollen from mosquito bites, and her eyelids puffed up like two small balloons.
At that moment, he didn’t even want to admit he knew her. He desperately wanted to find himself a strong and powerful mom.
Beau avoided Niamh’s gaze. His voice grew softer as he said, “If you win first place, then I’ll think about it.” By the time he finished speaking, his voice had become barely audible.
Niamh’s expression brightened with satisfaction.
“Elara, you should leave. If the staff finds out an unauthorized person barged into Luna’s lounge, you’ll be thrown out. And that would be a real disgrace!”
Elara’s gaze fell on Niamh’s thighs. “I have to say, I admire you. Turns out, people with thic
over.”

in are tough all
A dull ache spread through Niamh’s thighs and backside at Elara’s words. Beneath layers of foundation, the red marks from the mosquito bites on her face had yet to fade completely. She had applied smokey eye makeup just to cover up her still–swollen eyelids.
Last week, because Elara called the police, Niamh had been taken into custody. She had asked Harvey to contact Elara to shorten her detention.
But instead of helping, Elara had fed the police a ridiculous idea–forcing her to post an apology video on social media and gather 999 likes before she could be released. Niamh had lost every shred of dignity for those 999 likes.
Over the next two days, with her parents spreading the word and begging for likes, she had barely reached the required number. And even after she was released, her apology video had to remain pinned to her profile for an entire week, with the police constantly monitoring it.
Elara had completely destroyed the network of connections she had built over the years, and every penny she had saved had been drained just to compensate Elara. Rage and resentment surged to their peak within Niamh’s chest.

Chapter 228
Just then, Lesley picked up her phone and made a call.
“Hello, unauthorized personnel have entered Luna’s lounge and are disrupting Luna’s preparation. Please send security over immediately.”
Hearing Lesley call for security, Niamh smirked, as if everything was going according to plan. The staff arrived quickly.
Niamh immediately pointed at Elara and Lesley. “The two of them are fooling around in Luna’s lounge! Throw them out!”
A staff member turned to Elara and spoke firmly. “Ms. Jones, this is Luna’s private lounge. Please leave immediately.”
Just as Niamh’s smirk deepened in triumph, several staff members turned and surrounded her instead.
