Chapter 229
“Do you know who I am?” Niamh screamed as she flashed her participant ID at the staff, demanding they take a good look.
However, the staff members exchanged looks of awkward disbelief after glancing at her credentials. Niamh’s name was already Infamous in this competition.
“Of course, we recognize you. You’re Ms. Niamh Jones, the so–called amateur racer without a racing license. Since this is your first time participating in an international event, allow me to educate you.”
The staff member enunciated each word clearly. “Do not trespass into other racers‘ lounges!”
Scanning the room, the staff then asked, “Who let you all
The lighting crew and photographers instinctively turned to Niamh. She puffed up her chest and declared, They’re with me!”
The staff’s patience snapped, their voice dropping into an aggravated growl. “The race is about to start. You probably brought this whole crew here to disturb Luna!”
As soon as those words fell, a loud bang echoed through the room. A racing helmet had toppled from the counter onto the floor.
One of the lighting crew members turned bright red and hurriedly picked it up, placing it back where it had been. Elara noticed that he was holding a thin tube, something that could easily be mistaken for a piece of filming equipment if one wasn’t paying close attention.
Yet, the moment the man realized he was being watched, he hastily shoved the tube into his pocket. If it were just a regular filming tool, why was he suddenly hiding it?
The staff grew even angrier after seeing the lighting crew that Niamh brought over had knocked over Luna’s helmet.
“That’s Luna’s helmet! Get out! All of you! If you don’t leave now, I’m calling security!”
Several staff members then waved their hands in a shooing motion, treating Niamh’s group like a flock of unwanted birds, herding them toward the exit.
“I’m staying right here until I meet Luna!” Beau refused to budge.
One of the staff members grabbed him by the arm and lifted his small body off the ground. Beau struggled, kicking furiously while aiming for the staff member’s legs.
“I’m the heir of Fisher Corp!” His little face puffed up in rage, round with indignation.
“Even if you were the CEO of Fisher Corp, you still wouldn’t be allowed to barge into Luna’s lounge and interfere with her preparations!”
“Let me gol Put me down!”
The staff carried Beau out of the lounge before finally setting him down. In the struggle, his hat and sunglasses fell to the floor. Scowling, Beau stomped furiously on his sunglasses, crushing them beneath his foot.
“Hmph! I’m going to make my dad fire all of you!”
Niamh was still seething as she barked orders at her hired film crew. “Get their faces on camera! I’ll make sure Harvey blacklists every single one of them!”

Chapter 229
The lead staff member glared at Niamh with fire burning his eyes.
“I couldn’t care less if Fisher Corp blacklists me. I’ll never volunteer at another event sponsored by them again! Niamh Jones, people like you are a stain on this industry!
“And that Fisher Corp CEO who shoved you into this competition? He’s an embarrassment to racing!”
“You fuc-“Niamh was about to curse when one of the staff members spat at her feet.
“We’re here as volunteers because we genuinely love racing Meanwhile, you waltz in as a so–called competitor without even understanding the rules. What? Don’t like it? Go ahead and call the cops!”
Niamh trembled with rage, her entire body shaking. The wounds Abel had left on her were still healing, and now her thighs and backside throbbed with renewed pain.
“You’re all going too far!” Her face twisted in fury.
But the staff had been putting up with her antics for far too long. “Yeah? Are we going too far? Fine, why don’t we help you call the police, then?”
It was like a needle had popped her balloon of anger–her overwhelming fury deflated in an instant. With the race about to begin, getting the police involved now would be disastrous. Did she really want to forfeit before she even hit the track?
Gritting her teeth, she turned to her film crew and snapped, “We’re leaving!”
Inside the lounge, peace finally returned.
Lesley couldn’t help but ask, “How did your son turn out like that? He and Merida are twins, but how did they end up so different?
“Fisher Corp kept a tight grip on Beau, and his grandmother constantly meddled in his upbringing. Honestly, I should be thankful that Ethel barely paid any attention to Merida… otherwise…”
