The pale daylight spilled over Harvey. It felt like a swarm of buzzing flies was crashing around chaotically inside his head.
At noon, Elara and Theodore went out for lunch. He decided to take her out to a nicer restaurant.
While Theodore was scanning the menu, Elara glanced up casually and spotted Harvey sitting not far away with a young womar
She sighed inwardly–of all places, she just had to run into him here. Just seeing him sitting there made her lose her appetite.
“Elara, take a look. What do you feel like eating?”
Theodore’s clear voice pulled her back to the present. She quickly withdrew her gaze.
The man arched a sharp brow. “Honey, are you getting distracted so soon?”
Elara resisted the urge to grab a napkin and cover the side of her face.
“I just saw that Fisher guy!” she muttered, puffing her checks slightly before sticking out her tongue at Theodore. Seeing her come alive in front of him like this, Theodore found her absolutely adorable.
He grinned slightly. “Did I pick the wrong restaurant? Do you want to switch seats?”
A decorative screen partially blocked the view from where he was sitting, making it impossible for Harvey to see
him.
Elara shook her head. “He’s probably already seen me.”
The moment Harvey sat down, his gaze landed on Elara by the window.
He had never seen her dressed in a professional suit before. For a second, he almost didn’t recognize her.
The sleek, sharp look gave her an air of confidence and sophistication that clashed with the image of the stay–at- home mother who used to revolve around the children.
When their eyes met, Elara deliberately looked away. Was she actually watching him?
This restaurant was close to Fisher Corp’s headquarters. Had she come here on purpose, waiting for him to show up?
The midday sunlight cast a soft golden glow around Elara. Her dark hair was pinned up, and a few loose strands that seemed to have been kissed by the light gleamed with a golden hue.
“Harvey, are you even listening to me?”
The woman sitting across from him noticed he had drifted off. His gaze had been locked onto something, completely lost in thought
She followed his line of sight, trying to figure out what had caught his attention.
At that moment, Harvey saw a hand holding a fork, reaching toward Elara. It was a man’s hand–long fingers, strong knuckles, and exuding effortless strength.
“Try mine.” Theodore cut a small piece of steak and brought it to her lips.

Heal rose to Elara’s cheeks. Was Theodore doing this on purpose for Harvey to see? She hesitated for a moment before opening her mouth and taking the bite.
It felt strange. Apart from Merida, no one had ever fed her before. A flush crept up her face it almost felt like they were really dating
And, to her surprise, the steak Theodore gave her was actually quite good. Harvey abruptly stood up, startling t
woman across from him.
The chilling aura surrounding him made her lips part slightly in shock. “Harvey, what’s wrong?”
However, he didn’t hear a single word she said. His mind was consumed by one thought.
Who was Elara having lunch with?
She was sitting across from a man, smiling, chatting, completely at ease. Was she… on a date? Was she doing this on purpose, just to provoke him?
Then, Theodore emerged from behind the decorative screen, Harvey’s pupils contracted instantly.
